I was going to give this book a 3/5 star rating but, after reading a wonderful review, I found I agreed completely with the reviewer and kicked it up a star.
What I didn't like was the slow pace. At the end of "Matched," Ky had been sent to the Outer Provinces and Cassia chose to be banished in order to find him. This book begins from basically that time period. Ky is living in a horrendous area and being used as targets for The Enemy. Whoever the enemy may be. They are being obliterated every ti ...more

I enjoyed the book, but perhaps not as quite as much as I expected to? I really wish I could give half stars, because I'd probably rate it 3.5 stars. I really, really LOVED Ky's POV and the little bits of his past being revealed. That, was this book's strength. Lots of new characters are introduced, some which I like and some which I do not. I was a bit dissapointed that the romance from the first book didn't really care over much in this one. I guess I can understand that it is all about rebell

3.5/5 Slightly better than the first book. The first part is a litte bit confusiong (I've forgotten the plot of the series lol), but the second part has a more beautiful writing, even if it's still slow and without action.

4.5 stars
I loved this book. It is just as good, if not better, than Matched. But why the 4.5 stars?
Because of the ending. It seemed way too abrupt. It seemed like, this and this and this happens, then I finally turn to the last chapter to get some sort of resolution, but it just ends. No resolution. No nothing. I needed something more to feel satisfied, and Crossed just didn't deliver that.
But besides that, it was an awesome book. I will definitely be picking up the final book in the series.

I'm a fan of Matched....but, this takes years for me to finish it...i kind of not like it in some sort of way..and I don't know why Cassia is being a bitch to Indie about her feelings to Xander. and I think I'm not excited for book 3 anymore.... the ending is predictable..

This was great. It constantly kept me at the edge of my seat and did not let me down after reading Matched. I can't believe I waited so long to read this series and I can't wait to read the next one!
