What Members Thought

A wonderful, short classic.
My first by Henry James , hopefully not the last .
The most wonderful thing here was how Catherine grew as a character . I thought her to be weak and whiny initially , but slowly and steadily she challenged me , and towards the end she was a giant presence .
Her aunt , Mrs Penniman was one of the weakest characters I encountered ever , and she was positively loathsome in a toadish way .
