I enjoyed the crime investigation which revolved around the judiciary, & particular around the Family Court & its decisions. Kaye Bailey was killed on the night of the announcement of her appointment Chief Justice, from which position she was expected to make some unpopular changes.

This book surpassed my expectations!
Family Law Judge Kaye Bailey was found murdered in her chambers. Was it a work of disgruntled complainant, inside job or something else? Detective Jillian Basset was just back from maternity leave, trying to juggle new motherhood and proving herself to the team that she could ‘still� do it. With this murder case, her hands were full and something had to give.
