Another well written book from M.J.Fields with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. This is Tris and Matteo’s story and it was one that drew me in and had me hooked from the first chapter.
Both Tris and Matteo are damaged souls, both broken and trying to find a way to heal; these two have a deep connection. Ms.Fields tackles issues within Marked Steel and she handles it well.

OMG what can I say!!!! This book was full of emotions. MJ has a way of sucking you in to a story!! Tris and Matteo's story is heartbreakingly beautiful, the emotions you feel are raw and jagged but then your heart fills with so much warmth.

This was the book I have been waiting on since MJ Fields started delivering the stories from the next generation of Steels and boy it did not disappoint. It was emotional with a capital E. I have never routed for a heroine like I have Tris and her journey is remarkable, add Matteo into the mix and I dare you not to be slayed by this couple. Oh how I wanted to know how Tris and Matteo met and fell in love ... and it was beautiful, painful and more than I expected. We had glimpses of them in Amias and Brisa's story but it was just little teases that showed us their life now but not the journey they went on to be together. Watching Tris battle through her worries ands fears makes you realise her inner strength. I loved how gentle and caring Matteo was, he knew just how to handle Tris but didn't stifle her. This book dealt with a sensitive subject in such a beautiful way. Tris has so much love around her even if she felt like she was alone. Matteo was just what she needed and she was a breath of life for him. There is a big twist in this book that will make you stop breathing for a minute. Another great book in this next generation series
OMG! Tris & Matteo totally make sense now! We’ve seen a little bit of them in a few books but now we get their beautiful love story. If you want a book that has ups and downs, happy cries and sad cries and an abundance of romance, read this book. I won't lie and say that this book wasn't hard to get through at times. Tris made my heart break with her mental illness and how she tried dealing with it. Matteo and Momma Joe were the blessing needed to keep her centered. Her family tried to help but they just couldn't fix everything. I'm glad this story does end with a HEA. I would recommend it. ...more

Tris has had a great life but not so easy and the past year has been h**l. She has had to make some decisions that no 16/17 year old should have to make.
Matteo has also not had it easy but has made the best of the hand he was dealt. What happens when things from the past come unraveled the the truth comes forward, will Matteo except or not?

Tris is an amazing strong compassionate woman. Matteo is one intuitive compassionate loving man. There connection is one everyone hopes to find. They complete each other in ways they never seen coming. They both have all kinds of baggage from there pasts. This is one amazingly emotional rollercoaster ride of a story. Could not put this book down.
Omg another amazing read that gave me all the feels. I couldn’t wait too read Matteo & Tris’s story and let’s say I wasn’t disappointed at all. This story definitely gave me all the feels and then some. Anytime I read any Steel book I know it will be a page turner. Another 5 star read that everyone must one click.
