ولعل خروج عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه قبل إسلامه -متوشحاً سيفه- قاصداً قتل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان ثأثراً لخاله -أبي جهل- الذي طُعن في كبريائه من حمزة بن عبد المطلب، بطل بني هاشم، فكيف يسكت على الضيم يلحق ببني مخزوم وحلفائهم بني عدي من بني عبد المطلب؟ ما الذي حطم هذه العصبية الكالحة الخانقة؟

لقد تحطمت على صلابة العقيدة من هذه المرأة العزلاء، فاطمة بنت الخطاب أخته، لقد وجد نفسه صغيراً صغيراً تافهاً أمام الدم المتفجر من جرح أخته العزلاء من كل شئ، وهي تتخدى شخصه، وتهشم كبريائه قائلة له : وكان ذلك على رغم أنفك! (أي أسلمت رغم أنفه ولن يستطيع أن يردها عن دينها).

إن قمة العنف والطغيان لدى الطاغية قد تنهزم داخلياً وتتحطم وتنهار أمام ثبات المُستضعفين على الحق، وجلاد وتضحية المجاهدين في سبيل الله. فلنتيقظ إلى هذا الجانب المهم، ونعرف كم يربح الدعوة ويربح الدعاة حين يثبتون على الخق، كما ثبت أصحاب عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام، حُملوا على الخشب ونُشروا بالمناشير، ما دون لحمهم وعظمهم، ما صدهم ذلك عن دين الله.”
