It had a find-the-hidden-Easter-eggs gimmick and a fun, rhyming narrative, but the inclusion of various locations in Texas seemed extraneous. And as I was posting this review, I realized that the bunny has been to many different locations, with the lure of the book coming from parents, grandparents, or other friends and family buying the book based on the mention of the location. Just feels very gimmicky.
And I also was disappointed that the book features parents buying a bunny for kids without really acknowledging that this is not simply a pet you keep in a cage. So many bunnies are purchased for children at Easter and then subsequently surrendered because it's a lot of work.

The narrative is lyrical and would be fun to read aloud, and the illustrations convey an old-fashioned, nostalgic time.

Fun to read aloud with young children and adults who are acting like young children. Some of the rhymes are a bit awkward, but the humorous narrative and colorful, cartoonish illustrations more than make up for it.
After I found this book while shopping at a thruft store and reading it very quickly, I found a video of the book being read aloud on YouTube and it is certainly worthy of an energetic read aloud.

I discovered this book at our local library, part of the Questioneers series of picture books by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts. I love that it shows how a person has to roll up their sleeves and work hard to make positive changes in our community and our world.
I hope that children who read this book are inspired by Sofia’s determination, pluck, and grit. But I also hope that they are someday accustomed to women becoming political leaders, so that the fact that she could become President isn’t all that novel of a concept.
Overall, this is a great addition to the series. It is an̈ inspirational story and the illustrations are very recognizable. They were created "...with watercolors, pen, and ink on Arches paper. For some pieces, pencil and graph paper were also employed."...more
