Teaching it in CI 1124 was an incredible experience - what a beautiful, haunting book that many of us have agreed is the "stickiest" text we read this semester - a text that we carry with us in our everyday lives and that informs us as we think about and act to show care for the climate and for our neighbors in the now. I love the centering of indigenous assets and ways of knowing, of young people as agents of change and power - I could keep rambling but won't. Read it the first time in a single night, then joyfully engaged in more careful rereads - this one will stay with me....more
