I absolutely loved the character development. In the beginning of this book, Call was a scared boy. He was scared of several things: People hunting him down, getting possessed, etc. But at the end, he removed all those fears and managed to save the day. Call went from a sarcastic grumpy kid, to a grown accomplished man.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed the Magisterium series, and am sad that it's over. Thanks Holly Black and Cassandra Clare for a wonderful series.
(view spoiler)[Oh my God, I love Alastair. HE became an air elemental just for Callum? That's what I call a devoted father. And mu God, Anastasia was actually the villain? *mindblown* And I'm so glad they got Aaron back, but in a different body. I did not expect Callum and Tamara to end up together though. I always though Aaron and Tamara, Callum and Celia, and Jasper and Gwenda. Guess I was wrong lol. Eh Callum and Tamara still is good.(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)]...more

Many interesting things were done with the plot to make it twist and turn. Unlike my previous book, this time I had no clue what was going to happen. Just when I thought I knew what was happening, the authors threw in a completely new thing making the journey all the more delightful.
The character development was...eh. I didn't see much growth in Call in this book. He did act more mature, but overall his character did not really grow (character-wise). However, he definitely learned a lot magic-wise.
I totally loved the ending. At first I was quite disappointed with how it ended. But then a few paragraphs later I was in complete shock. I am now totally excited to read the next book!
So there were some flaws here and there, but I really enjoyed with book despite that. Excited to read the next and last book of the series!
*Even though it says 200 pages of Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ, the book is actually 230 pages*

The character development in this books was just as good as the previous book. Even though Serafina was respected and treated as a hero, she did not completely belong with the humans or the catamounts. As a result, she felt lonely. Then a horrible incident occurred which made her feel like even more of an outsider. However, despite this, you could sense her courage and throughout the book she improved herself and her social interaction. It was amazing to see her grow once again but in a different way.
The plot. Oh my God. I absolutely loved it! The author brought in so many characters, and Beatty made you feel as if you know who the culprit is, but then changed it to another character when you least expect it. I love the author's descriptive writing. I have mentioned this before, but I really like writing which helps you visualize the situation, and Beatty does it nicely.
Okay, how have I not read this sooner? The moment I first opened the book, I was drawn in. I seriously enjoyed this book and for sure will finish the Okay, how have I not read this sooner? The character development was SPECTACULAR. Serafina grew so much during the book I'm so proud of her! She went from being scared of being seen by people, and catching rats, to a heroine, worshiped by the rich-folk. It was so wonderful to see her face her fears, I feel very happy for her.
The plot was also amazing! I really enjoyed the story line which was strong, and had no holes in it. There were also many plot twists in this book! I managed to predict one minor thing correctly, but the rest of my predictions ended up being wrong. The author really twisted the whole story in a delightful way which I did not expect.
I have actually read one other Robert Beatty book (Willa of the Wood) and I really enjoy reading his writing. The way he writes is slightly different than other authors, and it is very descriptive. And since I'm a visual person, his descriptions really helped me imagine everything. It was very enjoyable.

Many years ago a friend introduced me to The Land of Stories, and I was immediately hooked!
When the same friend told me about this book a few months ago, I immediately put it on my to-read list. However, I was unable to get the book until a couple days ago.
But when I got this from the library, I was worried I wouldn't find the sequel to The Land of Stories as interesting, since it had been years since I had read The Land of Stories.
Thank goodness I was wrong! I deeply enjoyed this book.
The book encouraged equality in a deep and moving story. Mad plot twists, great character growth, and a very creative world was created by the author.
And I loved the ending, it was so satisfying.
Excited to read the next book, A Tale of Witchcraft.
Thank you, friend. You know who you are. :)...more

J.K. Rowling was really creative when making the Wizarding World. There is a strong plot, and she write the book in a way which you can not put the book down! She develops a strong mystery, which is solved cleanly and the book ends neatly.
I love the character development, you can really see how Harry Potter struggle and the reasons behind the decisions he makes.
I recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy, adventure, and mystery....more

I really enjoyed hearing the thoughts oI really enjoyed this book! Sure, it was a little bit predictable, but it took me on an adventure nevertheless.
I really enjoyed hearing the thoughts of Lucy. In the previous book (A Tale of Magic) I was hoping of being able to know more about her. Sure enough, in this book, it was Lucy's "time to shine."
It was really enjoyable seeing Lucy grow from being a sarcastic obnoxious fairy to a true friend (still sarcastic).
I also enjoyed seeing the conflict in Brystal. It was interesting seeing how one simple curse could affect even the greatest of fairies.
I also thought the villains were quite clever, and I can tell they will put up a great fight in the next book. After all, Brystal and the fairies were barely able to fend them off in this book. They will surely return in the next book.
The plot was a little bit predictable. At first I was completely hooked, but then I started to make some predictions and most of them turned out to be right or close to my thoughts. But thankfully it wasn't too predictable and did not spoil my reading. I still enjoyed it to the full extent. :) And I will admit there were other things that I was NOT expecting which made me really surprised.
For example, there were some things the author wrote which I found very creative. For example, the world between life and the afterlife, Colfer described is as a forest full of trees and clocks. The theory is kind of complex, but it was interesting to read. I hope I get to hear more about this idea in the next book.
Well Chris Colfer has done it again. I really enjoyed the character growth, the plot and the creativity. Thanks and excited for the next book!
(view spoiler)[HUGE SPOILTERS DON'T READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK: I sort of knew that Seven was a little bit too perfect, like he gave me that vibe I usually get from fake people. I knew he was going to betray Brystal, but I never thought he would actually be the righteous king! Wow... Also, I was relieved that part of Madame Weatherberry is still alive, but I'm sad we won't be seing much of her since she's a ghost. I wanted to explore more of her character. But I'm glad I read this book, I really enjoyed it. :)(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)](hide spoiler)]...more
