Trigger Warnings include: mentions of the loss of a loved one
I am a SUCKER for Layla Hagen’s billionaires, and this one is no different! My introduction to Chase Sterling was him being an uncle, so it was love at first page with him! Chase’s best friend is marrying Hannah’s sister, so it was only a matter of time that they met. And the universe made sure of that. They were definitely not fast friends! They just need to get along until the wedding is over. Mr Grumpy does not make it easy on Hannah! But then, Mr Grumpy gets a little weak at the knees. And then there are marshmallows involved, and sunsets, and flowers, and plenty of “please let me help you moments. Chase becomes the typical (my favorite kind) of billionaire obsessed with a woman. He will take any and every excuse to just see her exist for 5 seconds. And the adult communication after he’s gone just a step too far?! Yup, big fan!
My Favorite Quotes: “I need to see you. Every day. I can’t explain it. “Do you know how hard I have to fight my instincts every day?" “Whatever you have in mind, I want everything." “What are you doing to me? "Taking my fill of you." “I need to be the only man in your life." “I like watching you. You're so damn perfect." “I don't know what you do to me, but I can't stop wanting you." “You're everything to me."

This is the PERFECT example why I LOVE Katherine’s books so much! The undeniable attraction and chemistry, the fun banter, all the heart squeezed in there! Plus, the inclusion of past characters, as well as future characters! (What a fabulous bonus getting to spend time with characters that mean so much to me AND experience them loving each other!) Even with the extra time with those characters, I can say with certainty that Easton and Paige are my favorite of Katherine Jay’s couples! Easton and Paige are so preoccupied protecting the walls they’ve built around themselves. They were their own worst enemies. I loved that the universe had no intentions of keeping them apart. Their connection gave them peace, something they are both in need of. Easton Wilder has become one of my favorite gentle grumps. He’s sweet, thoughtful, and completely in his own head. A place I did not mind being!
My Favorite Quotes: “I want you. Anything. Everything. “This p!ssy and that mouth are a dangerous combination on their own. But you screaming my name from those pretty pink lips is downright fatal. “You only get to come twice. But your first better be quick, because I want to take my time f!cking you for the second. “I want you to leave a mark. Make me remember you long after you're gone. “I know you’ve got more. F!ck me harder. Trigger Warnings include: MCs are step-siblings, loss of a loved one by suicide, grief, bullying, infidelity (not between the MCs)
Uh…ow?! All my notes for this one could be summed up to “this one hurt! After Luke and Gigi suffer a loss, these step-siblings are both left reeling…with so many questions. And broken hearts! You could feel their grief, the ache in their souls. They didn’t actually bond or become friends when their parents got married, but their darkened souls called to each other. Unfortunately, they’re both young and not quite mature. So, there are some silly and immature college-age things. And normally, it would ruin the book for me, but the PAIN they shared gave me every reason to understand. And of course, this wouldn’t be a cliffhanger without a TWIST! This was not only easy to devour (I like causing myself pain), but also an easy 5 stars!

Reunited and it feels SO good! I have been so excited to get to read this one! I am in love with all the intertwining involved between this series and the others from this author! As this is the third connected book of their story, I can’t give too much away in my review. So, I get to spend the space gushing about how much I love them (So not complaining!) As a lover of mafia romances, one of my favorite moments is when the big tough mafia man shows his soft side. And in this case, he had to find it first…so getting to enjoy it was even sweeter! Toss in a father/son moment…there may have been tears. I am literally attached to these characters, which was inevitable after spending so much time with them!
My Favorite Quotes: “You don’t have to thank me for loving you. It’s a privilege. “I love you. Do you hear me? I f!cking love you. “On your knees. I want my c!ck between your lips. Suck the c!m out of me. “I will fight for you with every fiber in my being. You’re mine and his. No one else’s. Ours. “I won’t leave. Not now. Not ever. I love you so much. I can’t imagine my life without you. “I want to hold you both and touch you. Remind myself we’re safe in our home. ‘He could read a legal document, and I’d get hard listening to him. “Now lean back while supporting yourself. I want a view of your sexy hole.

Xander Leblanc has made it so hard for me not to play favorites between these brothers! Although, it wasn’t that way at the beginning! He had the NERVE to want to shut down the very business that his darling grandmothers loved. But then as we peeled back his hard exterior and saw his grumpiness for the Business Man it actually was, I loved what I was seeing! And so did Bailey! (Who, by the way, is my favorite FMC of the series so far!) Even though it meant mixing business with pleasure, Xander and Bailey knew the consequences, but couldn’t ignore their hearts. Just like the rest of the series, I love getting to experience NOLA, and now I’ve gotten to enjoy Christmas! Also, little Bella is a main focus again and Favorite Uncle Xander is fabulous!
My Favorite Quotes: “F!ck the company. This is not about that. “You’ve been on my mind constantly ever since we met. “I just want to keep you happy. “I want you more than anything I’ve ever wanted in my life. “It’s because I want you so damn much that I can’t think straight. “For me. No one else can see you wear these. Fucking no one. “I’ll give you everything I have tonight, Bailey. Every f!cking thing, I promise. “You enjoy the fire, and I’ll f!ck you so good.

If you’re looking for a spicy Hallmark movie for your Christmas tbr, I absolutely recommend this novella! Josie is the sweetest kindergarten teacher, and who should walk into her classroom to meet his daughter’s teacher but the one who broke her heart years ago! And I knew right away these two were going to steal my heart! They melted me! You know what else melted me?! Wyatt in girl dad mode!! There were so many precious moments perfect for Christmas reading. And there were also PLENTY of hot enough moments to light fireplaces and melt snow! I never thought for a second that Wyatt should be groveling! The only thing I wish I got more of was more time with these characters! What a perfect read for the season!

Brock Scroggs is a proud grouch, however his boss is expecting an attitude change, and fast. Which is how he ends up missing the bus to the retreat he’s supposed to be going to, and shacked up with the boss’s daughter. Pear is also looking for change. Her life is in need of a makeover. Something she was working on when Brock shows up. They’re both divorced, emotionally buried alive, and desperate to climb free. Which is something they discover they can help each other accomplish. There’s a mutual understanding between them, and respect. Over their 12 days together, they build a genuine bond. They give each other the grace and kindness they were in need of. Something I loved every second of! It was so fun exploring these two drop their Grinch acts. What a fun play on the 12 days of Christmas! A Hallmark romance with a man addicted to having his mouth on her! …So not quite Hallmark

Tam is grumpy and stubborn from page one, which meant I had no choice but to love him. When Bhodi becomes his tenant, suddenly his life lights up in ways he was never prepared for. Tam was content living his life of solitude, but Bhodi was ready to mix his life up in all the best ways. From making sure they didn’t eat alone, to waiting around just to get a glimpse of each other after being apart for the day. I loved the journey of them helping each other learn and grow from past hang ups, wanting to help each other move into the future. A precious, heartwarming read for Christmas! Plus, if you’ve read any other books by this author, you’ll get spoiled with mentions of familiar faces you have become fond of!

My emotions did not know a moment of PEACE reading this! And I LOVED EVERY second of it! (Also, crying in paradise seems like an ideal location.) Nate and Sage are both trying to navigate the terrible reality of grief. Which by the way, was beautifully written!!! The layers, the rawness, the vulnerability, the up and down, the unpredictability of it all. Truly, beautifully done. And because of their pain, it created a very true and honest (and very slow) “hate you a little less journey. While extremely heartbreaking, it also gave them the ability to better understand and see each other. They both have things to learn and ways to grow. And I loved getting to enjoy them go from strangers with their emotions bubbling over to being a safe haven for each other.
My Favorite Quotes: “I like you. I like kissing you. I can’t get enough of it. “You make me want to be a better person. You make me want to be a better person for you. “Tell me what you want. “I want you to make me come. I’m not one to read story building or supernatural power/non-human romance…but I am emotionally attached to this series! I’m a silent, stone cold face kind of reader, but I definitely talked to this one as if I was watching it. There’s plenty of moving parts, new things to learn, but everything was so easy to understand! And my very favorite part: the return of friendly faces! Gosh, I loved having everyone together as they always are (belong). Definitely comforting during the hairy-scary moments! You know what else felt like a warm hug?! Paris and Mac! Everything about them!! They’re both so protective in nature, but more so with each other and without hesitation! They’re just fighting for each other, for themselves, for their future. Desperately. And it’s fabulous! Their bond…oh my poor heart!!!! I’d definitely risk my life to protect them.
My Favorite Quotes: “You’re not just anything. “Please quit apologizing for doing the thing that makes you you. “You’re here now, and that’s all that matters. I’ve got you. “You brought me home. “You grabbed hold, and now I can’t let go either. “F!cking hell. “No, baby, this is you fucking me, and it’s far from hell. “Right now, I just need to be inside you. Alright, I've put off this heartbreak as long as I can. I hate having to write this review. I LOVE Victoria's writing! I LOVE these characters, and I was UTTERLY THRILLED to FINALLY get some personal time with Maxwell...but the further I got into this book the more I was breaking my own heart. This one just isn't for me. Have I accepted that yet? No. Will I? No. Maxwell is carrying a family curse and has to avoid true love, and Annabelle needs to marry into a rich family to help her own family. So while the match up makes sense on paper, it's a disaster before the ink even dries! Things I know for certain in the short amount I read before forcibly stopping myself: Maxwell has a beautiful heart (alright I cheated, I was well aware of that going into this book), I would have loved getting proper time with Annabelle, the story is wonderful!, this mix bag of tropes are perfect, this found family in The Orchid are nestled in my heart.

Trigger Warnings include: Please know that while most of this book is fun and bright, the characters also deal with themes of loss, grief, mortality and love. A supporting character suffers from cancer. There are discussions of death and infidelity. There is also type-one diabetes representation including the dangers. Dangerous, life threatening situations.
My obsession started with the cover, blurb, and tropes. And it grew instantly with the playlist and dedication. Every time I thought "I could not fall in love with this book more", I did. Nathaniel, Ash, Grandpops, the chaos. I loved everything about everything! I've read plenty of meddling Grandmothers, but getting to enjoy fate dancing with Augustus was so fun! Nathaniel and Ash had no choice but put up with each other. And then that turned into foreplay, and it was so yummy! Just the sound of her walking pissed him off! And his mere existence was enough for Ash to plot murder in a thousand different ways. Ash hit very close to home for me. My fellow dark heart. I love her so much! Dr. Whitford was dangerous for my heart. Especially when he did something tiny for Ash that was actually the biggest thing in the world. And then when she gave him a rock?! Forget it, I was a goner for these two! I truly believed one of them would have pushed the other into a volcano, and this being a romance was the other thing that kept me from waiting for it to happen.
My Favorite Quotes: “You are not a mess. You are very much all the fuck put together. “You’re looking at me like I’m— “The most fascinating person I know? “I notice everything about you. “So fucking wet. So fucking beautiful. “My morbid little beauty. “Shut up and let me fucking taste you. “Don’t stop, or I’ll kill you. “I’m truly split between adoration and complete violence. “There’s nothing about you that needs fixing. “I’m going to die if I don’t touch you. “You’re perfect for me. “You have made me brave enough to live the life I want. “It makes me feel like I’m yours. “You are mine. “I’m the only one who kills you. I LOVED being back in Briar Valley! Spending time with Willow, Killian, Zach, and Micah again was just as fabulous a second time! And as I knew it would be, the extra content was just as every bit as perfect! Also, can confirm: this is still just as painful a second time.
If you’re looking for a why choose with a troubled soul, a dirty mouthed flirt, and a growly mountain man possessive of a beautifully brave mom carrying more baggage than belongings, I definitely recommend this one! This was a tough one to read. As a mom, as a woman, as a reader, as a human, this was a lot to take in. After suffering for a decade, Willow gets her and her daughter to safety. Arianna was absolutely the glue of this story. She was her mother’s reason to live. And she quickly became the reason Zach, Micah, and Killian softened. The reason all four of them became better, stronger, versions of themselves. Zach helped Willow heal her scars. Killian made her feel safe. Micah’s demons comforted hers. “We’re not whole without you. And that’s true for any of the characters, for the town as a whole. It truly broke my heart to ‘witness everyone’s pain. It wasn’t just their happily ever after that healed the wounds they caused my heart, but the town rallying together.
My Favorite Quotes: “In fact, if you want to kiss me, I would highly encourage it. “You’re perfectly whole, even if you don’t see it. “I’m in awe of you. “I’ll kiss you every day to remind you of that. “There’s my perfect girl. “You’re going to let my twin f!ck your mouth while I eat you out from behind, gorgeous girl. “I want to see your dirty little angel covered in come while I have my turn. “All I want is the privilege of owning a piece of your heart. “I just need to feel you in my arms one more time to know you’re real. “I never let you go. Not once. “It would take the end of this damn world for that to happen, and even then I’d follow you into the beyond. “Wait your f!cking turn. She’s mine right now. “Let me hear you. I want to know how much you love my cousin eating your pretty little c!nt out. “You’re so f!cking gorgeous. Flying my bisexual flag after reading this one. Because I will NEVER choose between Emma and Charlie. I could NEVER! This is definitely one of my favorite opposites attract romances! What made it so fabulous was although their past are so different, it brought them to the same place with the ability to understand and appreciate each other (though, that was a rough road at first). Insert, “assuming makes an quote here because it is absolutely appropriate! But I LOVED their back and forth while they navigated that together…separately. The annoyance between them felt genuine, and so did Charlie’s crush on her anger towards him. It made me giddy! Emma is stubborn, and that poor man just wanted to appreciate her! Gosh I loved it!
I had the utmost pleasure of reading an early copy of this book. And then I got to read it a second time. And now, a third. And folks, my love for Emma Conway and Charlie Walker has only grown over time. It is infinite at this point.

We were introduced to Hudson already down bad for Briar, which means I very easily was down bad for him! And the more I got to know him, know why he was even in Briar’s presence, only made me love and enjoy him even more! Briar is basically dumped at the devil’s doorstep, and Hudson will do everything he can to keep her safe. Including risking his own life. (Have I mentioned I have it BAD for him?!) This poor woman has NO idea what she has gotten herself into. Briar was the definition of “in over her head. But that was okay, because Hudson was always right there to protect her! She’s always been the one to please everyone else, even if it meant dimming her own light. Hudson helps her rediscover the woman she deserves to be, giving her her strength back, with a safe place to land. I loved her big beautiful heart, the same one that managed to remain intact even after everything she endured.
I was instantly IN this book! It was easy to want more, and to devour! Unfortunately for me, I never truly fully felt committed to this story. I can’t pinpoint my issue, but it’s there. It got everything right, the tropes, the tension, the excitement. But there was just something missing for me. That being said, I would absolutely still recommend this book!

Ivy is a popular influencer and musician. Alexander has inherited an entire empire, one that he’s not thrilled to be running. They’re an unlikely pair, but when he needs a fake date to his best friend’s wedding to avoid his crazy ex, Ivy becomes the best match! It takes a little too long for these two to actually meet and start their fake journey. I’m not sure I ever enjoyed Ivy as a character. People kept making inappropriate comments to Ivy/about Ivy, looking inappropriately at her. And it pisses Alexander off, but she becomes unnecessarily mad at him for wanting to protect her because “it happens. Her poor brother has the right idea, wanting nothing to do with their terrible father, but she won’t let the past go. And when her brother decides to break a couple federal laws, having a billionaire in her corner really comes in handy! Poor Alexander just wanted to convince her that they don’t need to fake anything, that he’s not faking a single thing. This had a lot of things I prefer to have in my dark/mafia romances. I’m so bummed I enjoyed so little of this book, because the first book of this series is one of my favorite books this year!

Yank my heartstrings, make me cry, include letters, and toss in some kinks, and you get an automatic five stars. Also, Ryland Anderson earned those five stars. Wait, that's a lie. Millie Callahan helped him earn those starts. This was definitely a joint effort in ripping my heart apart and putting it back together. (And also making me sweat.) No matter how hard Ryland fought it, fate and Millie never let him get far. Their tension finally bursts into flames, and the poor man literally snaps. Damien doesn’t know a life without hockey. Unfortunately, he does understand a life of loss. And now, he’s alive but he’s barely living. Until his team hires Trinity as their new social media manager. And suddenly, he’s finding excuses to leave his empty home and create new memories with Trinity. He becomes the white knight she didn’t realize she was in search of. That man didn’t know how to NOT make me swoon. And it started with him holding an infant. I couldn’t see it, but it didn’t make me swoon any less! And then, I got to know Damien’s heart. Because he shared it with Trinity. He wasn’t afraid to open up with her, for her. Damien didn’t want to rush things, he was sincerely concerned about messing things up with her, messing her up. I loved Trinity’s openness, and appreciation and acceptance, for the way he struggled and fought to be a better person. To be someone she deserved. She was his biggest cheerleader on and off the ice. I loved how genuine everything felt. Nothing was rushed, everything was handled with care. Even with the hard topics, this was a comfortable read. AND it is very in-depth behind the scenes of the game, and as a fan struggling to survive the off season, I’m thankful for it!

I had the best time reading this book! Even in the moments that were heavy (and there definitely were those moments!) Miles and Daisy were SO much fun to spend time with! I cried with laughter multiple times! It was so easy to love them, enjoy them. I have definitely enjoyed spending time with Miles Aldrich throughout the series, but I could not be happier to finally get quality time with him! Daisy became my favorite FMC of the series before chapter 5! She’s feisty, and I couldn’t get enough of her! Daisy is ready to put the wheels in motion to make her dream a reality, even if it means putting up with Miles in the process. Miles instantly supported her, and wanted to do everything in his power to make sure she succeeded! He became her loudest supporter, proudest friend. Miles is used to pleasing others and meeting expectations, and Daisy is used to being ignored and disrespected. They just wanted to feel worthy. I love the genuine friendship and support they gave to one another. I had a school girl crush on them both. The blushing, feet kicking kind. It was impossible not to get all ooey gooey over them, especially with the way he was with her. Then you toss in those dirty mouths of theirs, and I am a GONER! I had NO intentions of crying with this one, but I absolutely did!

I’m going to eat you up. “Do it. Show me. “If this is only happening one time, I won’t be rushed. “There you go. That’s a good girl. Keep coming for me. Gonna wring you out. “I can’t imagine anyone being as careful with me as you are. “Being in love with you is all about hope. Hope I am worthy of you. After a New Years kiss, Stuart and Meredith have to figure out how to continue working together as if it never happened. Thankfully for readers, they never do figure it out! But I loved watching them try! It was adorably pathetic how obsessed they were with each other, and trying to ignore it! Deciding to jump into the world of podcasting gives Stuart the perfect excuse to spend even more time with the residential sound engineer. He isn’t just a serious charmer, but it’s so enjoyably quirky! And unapologetically so! I loved how playful he was, and how it turns into them being playful together. I would have liked a little more ‘I’m all in and a little less ‘ew feelings from Meredith. But I totally get why it didn’t happen in the amount I was hoping for!
