I preferred this to the first volume. The story was less repetitive here and flowed better. It feels like it’s found its feet and I can’t wait to see where the rest goes.
The art style is awesome (and pretty gore heavy.)

This is possibly my favourite book of Banting’s, I blew through it in a day and was smiling the whole time at these two gays bonding over their shared dry humour and trauma.
Also the later in life coming out was just perfect.
Age gap, ice queen, celebrity (singer) romance.

I enjoyed the story and Thorne’s writing. The characters are lovable and the world is cozy. It’s a good one to curl up with on a rainy day and perfect if you enjoyed books like Legends & Lattes.
However, I did feel that all of the conflicts in the story were resolved far too simply / fast. Some were resolved in one page and other plot points were raised and never really developed.
I enjoyed that even for a cozy read there was a whole lot of adventure packed in.

This was an interesting exploration about learning & remembering history, focussing on it too much or too little, and the MC’s journey to self discovery through finding her balance.
I really enjoyed Solomon’s writing style, especially how the ocean and its creatures are made to feel almost like a mother in many ways.

I’m not sure if even the authors and artists knew where they were going with this story because it’s so disjointed and makes hardly any sense. We have two main stories going on: a road trip and some villainous scientist plot, but both are hectic and don’t feel like they belong together. We also have a load of random side plot points and characters being introduced. I feel like either the road trip of scientist focus needed to be dropped to make the other clearer.
I enjoyed the art style and pallets used but could have done with more text / info to clear up what on earth was happening.

I will say the story doesn’t feel like anything I haven’t seen before and is quite a traditional fantasy story that feels fairly linear. Saying that, I’m still enjoying every second.
I think the main draw to this series for me is the main character (a girl who works as a blacksmith’s apprentice) who is fiery and slowly learning about her history, and the art style. The art for this I can’t really compare to any other comic, but it’s gritty, eerie, and a touch gothic which really lends itself to the story.
I’ll be grabbing the next in the series very soon.

This novella has a murder mystery focus which was a lot of fun and a break from the usual action & adventure leaning sci-fi the other books fall into.
Saying that I didn’t take as much to the human characters in this one but did enjoy the bots. I found it a bit harder to get into and at times it felt a little disjointed story wise.

First of all the art for this is brilliant. It’s colourful and whimsical, with warm colour pallets that draw you in. I also loved the character art style.

The pacing was a little off with this one, and it felt more like a slow paced filler, but I did really take to Micky.
My favourite thing in this is seeing how the different types of bots think & interact, and how they utilise one another to aid communication & understanding. Wells does a great job of exploring connection.

As always, Kevin has done a superb job with the audio narration and really brings Murderbot to life.

I was quite skeptical of reading an AU of the first book with an alternate ending to the one seen in Those Who Wait, simply because I loved that ending so much. However, after reading this, I now can’t decide which ending I prefer.

The art for this is awesome and it’s laid out in a really clear and easy to follow manner, as is the story. It’s bleak, fairly gory and fast paced.
However it did feel quite repetitive with many of the scenes feeling similar when they were running away. There is some story building in the background but I would like to see more of that.
I am really enjoying the animal led horror concepts Fleecs is putting out lately, they feel fresh and are really interesting premises.
