i read this book a few weeks ago and have been letting myself sit with my thoughts on it in hopes that i'd be able to put them into words, but im stili read this book a few weeks ago and have been letting myself sit with my thoughts on it in hopes that i'd be able to put them into words, but im still struggling. this book follows cecily and austin, both deeply traumatized characters. cecily just got out of an abusive relationship and finds solace on austin's farm. austin has abandonment and trust issues that run very deep, for a multitude of reasons. watching these two characters grow to trust and love after everything they've been through, and all the hurt that had came upon them was so special. it's a deeply emotional book that is still romantic, funny, and spicy. i feel so deeply for these characters and this world, and think it's a truly meaningful and magical story that @baileyhannahwrites put into the world.
this one's for all the cowboy lovers (like myself). make sure to look up trigger warnings before beginning. "Alive and Wells" releases on November 20th, and i can't wait to get my hands on the physical copy of it ...more
