I can’t remember the last time I read a book in less than a day (started after lunch and finished at 9:30). This year, I’ve read an insane amount of books, and I mostly really liked them. But, my reading habits were veering towards reading for the numbers, not for the enjoyment. This book was whole heartedly consumed with an amount of joy that transformed the way I think, act, and observe. Now, this book was by no means the most literary novel ever. But the plot and POV were spectacular, and absolutely ruined me (in the best way). I emerged out of my room like one does when they leave a movie theater after having watched an intense action movie for three hours. Their eyes are strained, and their mind is reeling with an onset of feelings. The cogs in my brain are reeling and certainly will be for a long time. READ THIS BOOK. Side note, if they make this into a movie, can I play April? Based on the sole characteristic we have in common: She’s short! Another side note, the book kind of reminds me of Ready Player One.
