now obviously the story is kinda ridiculous to a point like the author mentioned in the afterword of my edition but i enjoyed it a lot nonetheless. i just didn't find it as horrific as some other reviewers seemingly did.
also if you don’t like things where not everything ends up being explained by the end don't read this but i enjoy those kinds of stories.
i also enjoyed not being able to predict things that would happen. i sometimes had a hunch about something that might happen or who the narrator was i was currently following but all in all i enjoyed stuff not being super obvious to me personally. (even though everything still made sense and didn’t come out of nowhere or anything)
all in all really loved this & would love to reread this now that i know all of the plot points and can read it again with that knowledge in the back of my head.
sidenote that is completely unrelated to the book; the afterword by the author made me like the book and the author even more (even though i do think there could be that many evil humans in a town, maybe not one that small and maybe they'd be a little less ridiculous in their evilness but still)....more
