This was an interesting premise, but so, so much darker than I’d anticipated. The premise presents a sufficient injustice all on its own. There was no need to focus in on a psychopath and a pedophile to prove the problematic nature of such a program.

If it serves as a warning, it’s too depressing, and it doesn’t fill me with hope for a better future. This is a troubled little family, and I didn’t feel like there was real resolution for them in the end. The negative feelings I had for the characters of the wife and daughter eventually led me to speed read my way through this so I could be done.
