Okay, hear me out.
I like the book for providing me with the remaining closure I needed.
I hated Eve and Grayson thing since the very beginning.
I wanted Grayson and Avery to be endgame because Grayson was the one who chose her from the very beginning and I cannot seem to get over it!! I HATE HOW THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS DEVELOPED WITH THE BOOKS!! There was a point where they could鈥檝e ended together; an opening of sorts. It annoyed me that it was not the path pursued. I hate what had become of Toby but I respect that. Once Vincent dies, no one can be a threat as big to Avery and the Hawthornes.
I didn鈥檛 know this but I think I wouldn鈥檛 have minded it being a 鈥渨hy choose鈥. Just saying. I MEAN WHO CHOOSES A GOLDEN RETRIEVER INSTEAD OF THE MORALLY GREY GUY WHO WOULD LITERALLY KILL TO KEEP YOU SAFE??!! Huh?! ...more

(1) I said I will finish this before February rolled in. (2) WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST READ??!! (3) Has she atleast started writing the fourth book yet?! I鈥檓 way too invested in this to wait another year or so before moving on. (4) Way too many people died. Not something I was anticipating for this book. I thought she would atleast give us some time to cope up with the death in the previous book. (5) Just proud of Violet鈥檚 character arc. Andarna鈥檚 too. (6) I need the next book as soon as possible. (7) Looking back, the previous two books don鈥檛 hold a candle against this one....more

鈥淕od, this is turning into an Oscar speech. I鈥檒l wrap it up. It鈥檚 no secret that I love books. I love stories about people I don鈥檛 know, and places I haven鈥檛 been to. I鈥檝e lived a thousand lives between a thousand pages, but no story, no life, no page has ever made me as happy as you do, Russ Callaghan. Before I met you, I hadn鈥檛 considered what my happy ending might look like. I wasn鈥檛 sure I鈥檇 get one. You鈥檙e my happy ending, Russ. I fell in love with you in this place, and watching you help build our life here has made me fall in love with you a million more times. Thank you for giving me a life that feels too good to be true. Thank you for letting me bring home animals even when you say no. Thank you for letting me live my dreams every day.鈥
It has got academic rivals, private school setting, true love, enemies to lovers, friendship goals, politicsI feel like this book is not hyped enough.
It has got academic rivals, private school setting, true love, enemies to lovers, friendship goals, politics, the problems behind the curtain no one ever bothers to look behind. And still I have never once been recommended this book.
It had romance, banter, action, suspense, mystery, satire, comedy, it held me on the edge of my seat throughout the entirety of the book and I cannot recommend it enough.
