this book delivereddddd. i couldn't put this down. the SLOW BURN. the BANTER. the PLOT TWISTS AHHHHGGGG. it was seriously so good.
i absolutely loved the two MCs Trystan and Evie. they were so perfect and hilarious and THANK THE HEAVENS it wasn't an instalove situation. it was actually oppositely an intense slow burn. but there was SO MUCH banter that had me laughing to myself and the development of the characters down to the last page of the book was SO FREAKING GOOD. i just couldn't stop reading.
the plot, while it did take me a bit to get into, was amazing. i was obsessed with the office setting because it was so different from the cookie cutter fantasy settings. it was perfect. and the plot had me on the edge of my seat and so engaged because there was never a dull moment. the plot was also pretty fast paced which i loved because sometimes i don't want to hear a twenty page explanation of the world building and politics i just want the characterrrsssss. and this did just that.
also, the plot twist at the end. like WHAT. it got me. it got me good. i CAN'T WAIT for the next book.
i am just completely obsessed with this book. i'm genuinely so attached to the characters and i've been thinking about them all day. i literally can't say enough about this book

ok i was surpriseddd. i started this book not really knowing what to expect and finished literally with my jaw in the floor.
the characters are SO fun and funny and lovable. the story was packed with the perfect amount of humor and drama and PLOT TWISTS. MY GOSH WHEN HE OPENED THAT DOOR AND TOLD HER THAT� i was ended. literally a range of emotions.
anyway, this was just a perfect read that was hilarious, fast, and super engaging.
