This book was so funny and silly. I was all in when I made it to about 20%. I don’t know how I learned to care so much about these people, especially since I know enough about the “factual� history of the Tudor era, but I would choose to believe this....more

I’m a teacher’s aide and I would never ever get this close to a kid. There are boundaries and there are rules in the schools for this kind of behavior. But everyone just accepted it as normal.
All the island stuff, top notch. Magical, whimsical, amazing. I would have liked more description of the games and more riddles but nonetheless, it was entertaining enough.
The foster kid stuff, the fact that Lucy brought this kid’s hopes up and he knew every single thing she was dealing with, not as top notch. That kid should have been protected and not fed a bunch of dreams that Lucy wasn’t really capable of making happen....more

The first half of Finale dragged. There were a lot of unnecessary elements added that I didn’t love, but t3.5 but I loved the ending so I’ll round up.
