Cioran is a very special character. His vision on life, although deeply nihilistic, portrays many truths. Still it depends on people, I understand that many people will never agree with him, but that does not change my mind from thinking that he treats the value of life with a certain objectivity, more than those who love life. In fact, I believe that the one who attributes no value to life will always be more objective than the one who gives it meaning, that's kinda logic in a way.
One more thought comes to my mind while reading it, if we consider life as death, birth, in the same way as murder, is a crime....more

Demian is my most singular reading, and the effects that this book had on my very body and mind is the weirdest feeling I ever had.
The topics discussed were really interesting and it's even more pleasant when you feel such a connection with the book.
I've read it in less than a day, but it felt like an eternity
Demian is one the greatest thing I've ever read for sure....more

I've always think that nothing mattered in the universe, and so that's the reason we are so completely free. But there is something more annoying about absurdism, when you understand this idea, you see it everywhere. But be careful, it's not supposed to makes you sad, it just brings you another vision of the world. Absurdism is just an existantial problem that man created, and to deal with it you just have to accept it, to accept the fact that the universe will never respond to your incessant call to know. The only way to stop this endless loop, is to accept it, and being abble to take advantage of it to be happy....more
absolutely brilliant, until recently i never realized how women have been ignored in history because in fact no one talks about them, yet it concerns absolutely brilliant, until recently i never realized how women have been ignored in history because in fact no one talks about them, yet it concerns half of humanity. And this book shows us the extent of what women have been able to experience since the dawn of time, it's the kind of book that we should study in class.
at the beginning of the book i was afraid of not understanding anything because i had trouble understanding what Virginia Woolf meant, but from chapter 2 it was much better.
it's also good to see that over time things have changed, but now what needs to be done is to show what women have been able to accomplish through history and above all to continue to fight because, there's still a lot of dumb people who have stupid thoughts about women.
i think that it's a shame and that it's deeply sad that scientific advances, pillars of literature, works of art etc,.. have never seen the light of day because women have never had the means to afford them....more
