The love triangle and the romance in general felt so emotional and raw. This writing style was so perfect too, for a second I thought these were actual people and this was a real band.

Sometimes I’ll think about the ending throughout my day and it’ll genuinely make my stomach turn and ruin my mood. I do think it was necessary but it was so disappointing. I really enjoyed the book but some parts were difficult to get past. Also I hated the shape of my book, it was so small but fat which made it a little difficult to read. This is for sure top five books oat in my opinion and I love Orwell. ...more

I loved how descriptive it was and how I could feel the lights of China Town through the book. I felt like I had lived there my whole life just based on her descriptions. I loved the storyline through out the whole story. It was also interesting to learn about the clubs that they had back in the 1950s for lesbians and the history of the bars.
It was soooo cute too how their relationship grew. Got me giggling....more

The story was so well organized and put together and unpredictable. The feeling of being in love with a woman as a woman in the early to mid 1900s was so beautifully executed through this book and the irony of the title is absolutely hilarious....more
