The characters are flat and shallow, there’s no chemistry between any of them, I hate love triangles, and words can’t even begin to describe how much I detest the cheating trope. I don’t like Conrad or Jeremiah. Conrad is boring and kind of an asshole, I only liked him when I was reading his stupid fucking letters at the end of the book and he was being (kind of) nice. He did literally two nice things for Belly in the entirety of this series and suddenly he’s some sort of perfect bachelor? He’s a dick! All college boys are dicks! ESPECIALLY if they’re in frat houses, which brings me to Jeremiah. What a cunt. I actually was on the verge of throwing up when I found out what he did. It was so un-Jeremiah-like that I actually had to close the book and walk away. And he never grew out of his stupid fucking frat boy phase. And the fact that he had a girlfriend by the end of the book? Was it the bitch from Cabo? Love triangle rejects are supposed to grovel and mope for the rest of time. That’s how it fucking goes. It’s been established that Jeremiah is a man whore, but damn. Way to prove my point. Belly was okay. I thought she made some dumbass decisions sometimes, but mostly I liked her and her thought process� even though her character was flat and basically lifeless. But that’s just how the book is written. Almost everything is mundane and renders you incapable of developing any attachment to it. The only character I liked is Taylor. She reminds me of Caroline from TVD. She’s so cute, and really just a reliable character to lean back on and enjoy scenes with when everything else in the novel is in chaos. This book was shit, overall. Written like a fanfic with the execution of somebody who has never felt deep emotions in their life. Glad to be finally done with this fucking series.
