I listened to the audiobook book which is narrated by the same person who played June in the tv series which made the book that much more enjoyable for me! Offred is apart of a new law where all woman have their rights stripped and are assigned to households to basically be slaves and impregnated, the whole story was shocking, dark and compelling and I am now going on to the follow up in this series!
Having watch the show and listened to the book I was eager to know how the book and was to wrap up and I also enjoyed noting the similarities and differences between the two! I’m excited to start the sequel to this one!...more

That being said I did stick with it to see how it was all going to end, and the narration was great, Sloane being an impulsive liar did make things interesting and the narration on the audiobook was really good, all in all I think I would try this author again despite my views on this book being very mixed....more

This one took me a little while to get into but by a certain point I was hooked and I really enjoyed the many secrets that were revealed and the multiple points of view. Abby Craden brilliantly narrated this one on audiobook and I was hooked especially during the first half. ...more

This book follow the events of book one but instead of it being from Sabines side we hear from Rebecca!
I was delighted when I discovered this book as I think Rebecca is my favourite character in this series, this book was everything I wanted, hearing all about her thoughts and feelings and her side of the story was such a good way to wrap up this series, although I am holding out for another book that involves these characters at some point!...more

Jena always assumed that she was straight but after a chance meeting with a stranger in her work place all of that changes! Sure she knows she is picky and never gets past the first few dates with a man, but she never assumed she was gay until she finds herself falling for a random stranger who becomes her best friend.
I loved how the relationship between Jena and Brooke developed, it felt very natural and real. I also enjoyed hearing more from Sabine and Rebecca who were the focus of the first two books in this series!...more

Celeste agrees to take part in an experiment which will see her live off grid alone for 4 years! No human connection no conversations no music no nothing, she will message with some daily whole will monitor her progress but that will be that!
Celeste is making it through the experiment, ending in sight when she accidentally shoots a woman tracking near by, can she trust what she sees or is the woman an elusion? And if this woman is real what will it mean for the experiment.
I guessed the twist pretty early on but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this sapphic romance. I loved how unique this one was and the ending had me feeling quite emotional!...more

I'm actually going to miss all these characters! | binged all 3 books in around 4 days! Alex and Catherine were wonderful characters and I was rooting for them since the very start. Despite some upset here and there throughout the book I really enjoyed the element of domestic bliss in this 3rd instalment! As well as the mixed of characters Alex and Catherine had in their lives particularly Natalie and Amelie. Karma is a b..... in this final instalment and the end was perfection. For anyone who is a fan of this genre and is yet to pick up these books here is your sign to do so! I know for sure you will fall in love with the characters as I did and I'm definitely going to come back to these books at some point in the future to experience them again! Also, Abby Craden narrated this series and she was incredible! I will never get used to how good she is!...more

Even though book one remains my favourite this was a strong follow up and I loved all of the drama, twists and turns that came! Straight off the bat developments that I was eagerly awaiting for quickly came and this book was mostly about the fallout from that! I loved how the author just jumps in with eagerly awaited twists, it could have easily of been drawn out over another book. Despite heartbreaking twists and turns I was rooting for Alex and Catherine, and was waiting with breated breath to see if they were going to get their HEA! This book has depth and is not just an LGBTQ romance but also covers topics of blackmail, domestic violence, and shows the power of female friendship! I cannot rate this book series enough!...more

2024 review Wow this was such a beautiful slow burn romance that draws you in from the first page! I just loved this book!! Alex is watching from the shore when a stranger gets into trouble while sailing, without thinking she swims out and saves Catherine the woman caught up in the accident, and from there they strike up a friendship. Alex is trying to further her career in football which means she is supposed to be seen as a picture perfect woman and Catherine is caught up in a controlling marriage but despite all of this neither woman can deny the attraction growing between them!
I was so excited to realise that this was book one of a 3 books series as I loved the main characters, the obstacles they faced and their growing relationship and I can't wait to find out where it goes next! Tw - domestic violence...more

2024 review “Look to your left, look to right, it's one of us" Wow, Jodi Comer performance with this one was absolutely phenomenal! Then you have the writing which was brilliant! Before starting this book I read that this one is based on a play Jodi preforms in and I can only guess just how amazing watching this live must be! Now on to the subject matter of this book, which is sexual assault. The second half of this book especially is so powerful and at times very emotional!. There was a very interesting take in this one where the victim of the crime is also a defence barrister, and the book explores how she views crime whilst working as a barrister and how she viewed it when she herself experiences it. This one is newly released on audio and trust me when I say it's not to be missed and is very powerful indeed! Tw sexual assault...more

This beautiful story is told over 3 timelines that are title “before 1968 and “the trial. I feel like I don’t want to go into too much depth about the actual storyline because I think as a read/listener you will get much more from it by going in blind. What I will say is that this story is revolved around a woman and two men, one her husband the other an old lover from her past and their pasts and present are woven together!
This was so atmospheric, it was like a movie playing out on the big screen in my mind and the writing was nothing short of mesmerising. Definitely add this one to your TBR, you won’t be disappointed....more

Kat and Heath were soulmates, meant to be, Kat wanted to be a world famous figure skater and Heath wanted her, was obsessed with her. Told like a Netflix style documentary we hear all about their start out, their career and the heartbreaks and betrayals along the way, and not to mention how they came up against their biggest competition the Lyn twins!
There were so many twists and turns to this one and I loved it. Drama and betrayal galore, at a certain point you couldn’t pry this one away from my for love nor money! I definitely get why this one is getting so much hype, for me this was one of those rare gems that felt like non-fiction! The interview style chapters and the chapters containing the story itself worked so well together side by side and the full cast narration was everything, I definitely want to check out more from this author going forward....more

This book starts with a woman waking up in a burning bonfire and then we go back 12 months to see what lead up to those events. We meet Anna, Margot and Liv, 3 woman who all live in the same neighbourhood, Anna and Margot have been friends for years and Liv has not long since moved there! It’s here where we discover all of the secrets they keep and that so many twists that do truly make your head spin! There were also alternative chapters about other people that won’t make sense to begin with but hang in there, Mr Marrs brings it all together brilliantly!

That being said the mystery side of things felt like to me it’s been done before, and it took me longer to get through this one hence the 3 star rating BUT there was a lot that I did like!
Firstly Mrs Haggerty was a hoot and all of her shenanigans were hilarious, she was a show stealer and I hope she is around for many more books to come! I love also how this one was based around where she lived and included antics with her kids, the pace for this one was perfect like I said it felt like we were reverting back to the earlier books! I wished Vero was around more in this one thought I really missed her snark and one liners! All in all a good addition to this great series, can’t wait for the next book!...more

Robyn was just twelve when her father murdered her mother, the whole case was covered up and her father was put into witness protection and now she is determined to make people pay for that cover up and also locate her father! She starts to kill the people directly responsible for the cover up leaving a note on their bodies that reads “Give him to me! Can Kez get to Robyn in time before the body count rises?
