They were strangers to allies/competitors who were attracted to each other and now in the second book, they are gonna be enemies. Calling people by their last name does not sound hot in every case. Her husband who was assumed dead almost 4 years ago or the love she found after the period of grief and accepting the reality of Jesse not returning? This book was pure emotion and strucking me at the right places. Sam and Jesse were the perfect guys and god if one true loves exist then please please please hit me with anyone of them, I'll happy:)

I have accepted the fact that after reading 8 books in this universe that the stakes would never feel high to me because these books were written for I have accepted the fact that after reading 8 books in this universe that the stakes would never feel high to me because these books were written for middle-schoolers and not for 20 year old grown person like me. I love the banter and humor in these books but I am always aware of the fact that the day would be saved in the end with some quick wit and trick. I love the fact that I am getting to know so much about greek mythology in a fun manner and I absolutely love the found family thing going on here.
Percy and Annabeth as an individual and as a couple are everything I want. They are love. They literally carried this book on their back like they carried the sky so the earth wouldn't crush. I miss grover and tyson so much. For some reason, I have these motherly instincts for them and not knowing what is happening with them is just a continuous nag in my mind.
