That’s how I felt about Lili and Theo. As I neared the end and knew that also meant the end of my time engaged in their story, I felt a little sad. This book was deep and beautifully written. Character development was obviously spot on. The only reason I don’t give this book 5 stars is because the end left so many questions unanswered. What happened to Esti? To Niko? What will happen next in Lili, Theo, and Thomas lives? It ended too abruptly!!!!!! I’m hoping that means a sequel will be coming?! But overall it’s a story & characters who I will cherish forever. It’s a book I will read again!
I loved the author’s first book We Were The Lucky Ones, so when I saw Georgia Hunter had a new book coming out I was so excited! Then I saw the giveaway on Good Reads for the book & put my name in the drawing. I never thought I’d win, but I was elated when I did! Thanks Good Reads for the beautiful book & for the opportunity to be one of the first to read a copy of One Good Thing! ...more

I have been entering Good Reads Giveways for years but had lost all hope I’d ever be selected as a winner. One day I had a horrible day. I felt defeated & sad. Then I got the mail & I had a package. I have read two other novels by Rachel Linden & enjoyed them all and this book was no exception. It was filled with so many life lessons. I wrote down many quotes in my reading journal.
Georgia was a very relatable character. Life is messy. We all get hurt, betrayed, lose our spark & our taste of wonder. I loved Georgia’s journey in discovering her heritage, women who were strong & had gifts that they used to help others. We also all have some form of tragedy in our lives. Georgia was able to forgive & reconcile with her parents. Although her mother wasn’t there for her as a child, she was able to forgive her & develop a meaning relationship with her in adulthood.
The romance aspect of this story was sweet. I was grateful it was also tasteful & not too explicit. I could allow my teen daughter to read it.
All in all this book is a keeper. I loved so much about it & the story captivated me. It was hard to put down & when life demanded I did, I couldn’t wait to open it again! ...more
