The tone of this story was a bit uneven for me. I found this book when searching "sweet omegaverse" on Amazon because I prefer lighter romance. The author did attempt to fit this book into that description but one of the main events in the plot -- the kidnapping -- was fairly serious. I think I would have preferred that the author treated it more seriously and I would have skimmed the parts that made me uncomfortable rather than having it written as if it was just another thing that happened on the heroine's vacation. Frankly, having an older heroine and the frenemies aspect were both enough for a sweet omegaverse without throwing the kidnapping into the mix. Still, if the author writes another light romance with a mature heroine, I would give it a shot.
