I’m honestly not sure how to feel about this book. The plot was so unoriginal it made it feel like a chore to read. It definitely had its moments, Vivian is a great character and I loved her throughout the entire book.

OH. MY. GOD.
A rom-com romance with fake dating, enemies to lovers, and childhood friends??? You have to be kidding me. Wes and Liz are SO CUTE, but I was so confused why he was calling her Buxbaum…until I realized it was her last name.
The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars was because Liz kinda peeved me sometimes, not saying I don’t like her or relate to her at all � I just didn’t understand the way she thought 100% of the time. She was also um� a little strange if you ask me. Like, I get where her quirks were coming from but an� owl dress..? It reminded me of when I used to wear animal shirts in the 3rd grade. I also felt like it didn’t deserve 5 stars? Like it was super cute don’t get me wrong, but the plot was basic, and the book was overhyped.
Still wonderful writing, and great execution! I will definitely be reading Lynn Painter in the future when I want a cute and fluffy romance with AMAZING banter.
