The first half of the book was very good, I enjoyed the banter and the yearning quite a bit!
Unfortunately, I felt like it fell a little flat for me in the second half. All the banter disappeared and Juliana and Ben started acting very childish (and let’s not even get into that third act breakup). The resolution also felt a bit rushed for me but I did enjoy the epilogue!
Things I liked: -the banter in the beginning -the mud walk - that whole scene was soooo bridgerton season 2 -tulips ...more

What a perfect romance and what a perfect ending to the Rebel Blue Ranch series. I am usually not a fan of second chance romances but there's something about the way that Lyla Sage wrote Cam and Dusty that now has me rethinking the whole trope.
This book was romantic, streamy, and heartwarming. I loved the use of the notes ...more

The case in this one was so intriguing and wild. Lots of plot twists that I definitely didn’t see coming and I actually gasped out loud at one point. The ending was satisfying and the epilogue was crazy as well.
My little family of investigators is back and whole again!!! Loved the way they worked together on the case and really liked the new blood as well. Excited to see more of the new characters and see the old favorites’s adventures as well.

This series has been spectacular so far, and I’ve been speeding through the books, however this one felt like a drag.
The primary case wasn’t that interesting and the other case just pissed me off. The whole trope of “the lead detective is the main suspect has to be my least favorite trope because seriously?? We all know he didn’t do it and it feels like a colossal waste of time.
Thankfully with this book we can finally put the whole Parrie thing to rest and focus on what makes the series amazing from the start, the whole team coming together to solve a case....more
Another book in the series that I couldn’t put down!! The case was intense but interesting. I had some theories but I for sure didn’t guess any 4.5 ⭐️
Another book in the series that I couldn’t put down!! The case was intense but interesting. I had some theories but I for sure didn’t guess any of the twists; especially the one at the very end. (Be sure to check out trigger warnings before reading.)
We get a deeper look into DI Fawley’s past in this book as the case might be tied to a case from his past. I enjoyed seeing that side of him and getting more insight into his mind. We also learn a bit more about DC Asante (but not much…he’s still kinda an enigma) and the other members of the team as well. This team is being very dear to me and nothing better happen to any of them in the future! That’s my family.
One of the characters in this book did share a name with me which was kinda off putting but I still managed to enjoy the book!
Loved the twists in this one but boyyy was it dark. Cara Hunter’s writing is flawless and it drew me in once again into this book. I loved the m4.5 ⭐️
Loved the twists in this one but boyyy was it dark. Cara Hunter’s writing is flawless and it drew me in once again into this book. I loved the mixed media format - the combination of prose, police reports, emails, newspaper articles, and interviews really brings that added tension and had me looking for clues in all of the added material.
The case itself was chilling but super engaging. It really felt like I was reading about a real case that had happened. Part of this case was told in flashbacks, which were super effective and disturbing (at least to me)*
*if you are sensitive to traumatic scenes, I recommend skipping the last 4 flashback scenes.
As usual the characters were a favorite of mine. I loved getting more of the lore with the detectives (very happy to see Quinn getting the comeuppance he deserved) and the victims and suspects were well written and kept me on my toes.

"There is nothing frivolous about the way a Hawthorne man loves."
This book was delicious. I devoured every page, oh how i've missed this family. Told from Greyson and Jameson's povs, this book jumps headfirst into two very different mysteries and games.
Even though my heart is always with AveryJameson, I loved following Greyson's journey a little bit more than Jameson's. I feel with this book, we get to see a different side of Greyson - a side that has nothing to do with romantic love, but something more precious - family. The new cast of characters that JLB added in stole my heart and I can't wait to have them pop up in future books (Gigi and Savannah are everything to me and if anything happens to them I will burn something to the ground). Jameson's story was adrenaline inducing and I found myself muttering, "god you're an idiot" under my breath quite a bit lol. I loved seeing how his mind worked and how much he's changed since the first three books. His interactions with Avery were a highlight as well.
I did rate this book a little lower than the og trilogy because I think I missing the whole group being together in this one. I wanted more of Nash and Xander and of Nan! Hopefully the next book has them working toward a common goal so we can see them together in action once again.
The book ends on a cliffhanger and GOD WHAT A CLIFFHANGER. I can't wait to see how everything play out in the next book!...more

I really enjoyed the mystery and the mix of prose and texts, facebook posts, tweets, and interview transcripts that were mixed into the book - I love love love this kind of style of writing. There were quite a few twists and revelations that kept me on my toes and I did NOT see that ending coming!!

Another outstanding novel by Costanza Casati. This was captivating and emotional, and as a mythology girlie this was so up my alley. Reading from Semiramis’s pov was an experience and I loved that we also got povs from other major figures in the story - the different perspectives added so many layers and nuances that I felt like I was there among the players.
If Costanza Casati keeps writing mythological retellings of powerful women, I will always be seated.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this earc in exchange for my honest review

The crime was compelling and the twist was very fun! Loved that the plot was centered around a crime on a boat with members of a amateur dramatics society - the cast of suspect was wild. My besties Judith, Suzie, and Becks were on top of their game and I really enjoyed their teamwork of cracking this case and their friendship as well.

My comfort author is back with a new series!! Written in that lovable Richard Osman manner which makes you fall in love with every one of his characters, good or bad. I enjoyed how he set up relationships between his main characters and I can’t wait to learn more about them in the coming books. Especially Adam!
Steve, Amy, and Rosie are already so dear to me and if anything happens to them I won’t be happy.

A man who is instantly besotted with her eyelashes?? Hell yes!! Lydia is so me in this book - faints during awkward situations anxious when speaking to new people runs away during dinner to her room I loved her internal monologue and her character growth in the book so much!!! Arthur was always in awe of her and I think that all me should be like that. The romance and the high stakes spy plot blended really well together and I needed to know what was going to happen - in their love story and the main plot as well!
