I truly loved this book! It was absolutely fascinating!! The way Sawyer describes the future, and what happens because of those visions are genius!
The book is different from the series. So don't be alarmed if you read it. There are only two characters that are in the series as well. Theo and Lloyd.
I didn't think I would enjoy hearing about scientific explanations or about all types of other scientific theories the scientists come up with to explain what happened. But I did, and I think Sawyer has a way of pulling one in and making you understand.
Each day he describes what other people saw and forms a world view of the future which is meticulously thought out and just so vividly explained!
*Spoilers + My Questions*
What an ending!! What did Lloyd choose? Will it be a happy ending for Theo?

A future lived, a future savored, a future of moments so sharp and pointed that they would sometimes cut and sometimes glint so brightly it would hurt to contemplate them, but sometimes, too, would be joyous, an absolute, pure, unalloyed joy, the kind of joy he hadn't felt much if at all lo these twenty-one years."...more

This was a truly great book! I looks at the life of Charlie, a wallflower. He observes everything but rarely participates. It is an extremely funny (I was laughing a lot and my boyfriend kept on looking at me to see what I was laughing at) book but also made me truly sad at times.
I fell in love with the characters and will always treasure this book! Charlie is deep and honest and the way he sees things are truly beautiful!
Might just be one of the best books I have read, and I'm sure Charlie will be with me forever.
READ IT!

"I think that if I ever have kids, and they are upset, I won't tell them that people are starving in China or anything like that because it wouldn't change the fact that they were upset. If you haven't read this series I suggested you pick it up! It will not disappoint!
My Take (Spoilers):
I thoroughly enjoyed this installment of the Vampire academy series. It was fast-paced and Richelle Mead draws you in like not many Authors can.
I thought that Rose would only "save" Dimitri in the last few pages and was surprised when it happened earlier! I also did not see Tatiana's murder coming and these surprises delighted me! I think that Rose needs to learn some Self-control, although I like her reckless side.
Another cliffhanger that leaves us turning the pages to find there is no more!
My Questions:
Why does Rose retaliate against Dimitri by spending the night with Adrian? If she really loves him so much why does she delude herself into thinking it can work with Adrian?
Why does Rose not just tell people Abe is her Dad?

"I'll find you. There is no place in this world you can hide from me. I'm watching. Love, Dimitri"

This book was absolutely brilliant! I don't know why I didn't read this earlier! It was passionately written, beautifully thought out and a very emotional journey! I was hooked from the beginning and on the edge of my seat the whole time!
The characters were vivid, wondrous and fantastically diabolical! I also love Daemons and the idea of them!
I think this book shows that you can't always ignore or undervalue the power and influence of children. We are very quick to ignore what they say. We have to listen more carefully.
*SPOILERS*
I was so close to tears when they found Tony! It was heart wrenching! Oh and Roger...
My Questions:
I don't get why everyone was so against this book. Yes it talks about the church etc. But this is fantasy... Its not attacking the church in real life, its attacking the church in the book... Because you know this is a world with Daemons, and witches and talking bears...
I could be wrong and Philip Pullman has a plan of taking over young minds with his "kill god approach". Yes that could be it, but I choose to enjoy the book for what it is. A story!
I think this book has a way of making one want to be a better person, want to be as sure and as brave a Lyra about what is right and what is wrong!
