Great highs and lows, great character growth, great plot movement, great antagonists. I cried, I laughed, I cursed, Sanderson outdid himself as usual!

I cannot understand how he can immerse you in such a magnificent story in just some one hundred-ish pages!
No matter what I write here I won't do justice to this novella.
The story reminds us that every single one of us is unique and more complex than we think, and that there are many aspects to the human personality/soul. And also teaches us (as every Cosmere book) to not hate and judge others because of their believes. The duality Forgery Vs Art was interesting too.
I hope the future books of Elantris will feature Shai.
P.S: I guess we all know who the Imperial Fool is. ...more

Spoil-free Review: Stormlight Archive is the pinnacle of fantasy! If you are a fan of the genre this is a must read. If you can please read Warbreaker before reading SA.
(view spoiler)[ Major Spoilers ahead!: My head is still spinning! I am overwhelmed by all of the events. This book was as amazing as I expected it to be. Many people say that the first two books are better than this one, to them I say: “Airsick lowlanders! You know nothing about books The following is not a proper review, just few scattered notes of what I liked about this book and some questions I still have:
- Each stormlight book takes us back to explore the past of one of the major characters, Oathbringer takes us into Dalinar’s past, it shows us why he has that reputation of being a beast, and also tells us about his wife: Evi. I liked how the author explained what Dalinar felt then and how the thrill contributed in him being a beast even more. This was temporarily fixed by the visit to the Nightwatcher and Cultivation. - In his visit to the Nightwatcher she said “Perhaps it is possessions you wish, she said. Spheres, gemstones. Shards. A Blade that bleeds darkness and cannot be defeated. I can give it to you. That means she had nightblood back then? Interesting! - The mystery of Urithiru is still unsolved what is that tower? And what is its purpose? I was thinking that it was built by the knights Radiants but I don’t think so anymore. Odium asked Taravangian to tell him what did the Alethi find out about the tower. Does this mean that Odium himself does not know everything about that tower? - Taravangian is one of the best characters ever! He is very well written, his power is original, every day with a different level of intelligence, and he can’t have compassion and acumen at the same time. But the compromise he made to Odium at the end of the book was not worth it at all in my opinion. - That conversation between him and Dalinar about the passage in the Way of Kings where Nohadon talks about the crime of the hog-men, presents a very hard problem and shows that there is no such thing as absolute justice or a best way to rule. - During the big battle at the end, Dalinar overcame his weaknesses and “Ascended joining the 3 realms and creating a perpendicularity saving Kal, Shallan and Adolin. This is a well deserved power-up for Dalinar, Sanderson built this up from Book 1. But when he said "I am Unity" does it mean he became a shard himself? - “A section of words that had faded from golden to black. What was that? As he drew near, Taravangian saw that the words were blacked out into eternity starting from this point on his wall. As if something had happened here. A ripple in what Odium could see At its root, a name. Renarin Kholin. ԳٱپԲ - Just provide Jasnah with enough stormlight and she will win wars for you, that woman is stronger than all the radiants combined xD - Finally Shallan made her decision and settled with Adolin, I would not have liked it otherwise, ““Shallan is betrothed to Adolin, Kaladin said. “Which isn’t an oath, Syl said. “It’s a promise to maybe make an oath sometime.” Come on Sylphrena! That’s not very honorable, Odium will be proud of you a promise must be kept as much as an Oath must not be broken. - That plot twist: "humans are the real voidbringers and their original god was Odium!" Stormfather that was good!!! - Storm you Moash! Elhokar was starting to become a real king. - Talan is the MVP! - Jezrien deserves to die, but what is that dagger made of? - If Braize is where Heralds are sent to be tortured, does it mean that Ashyn is where the Tranquiline Halls are? And/Or that Ashyn is the world radiants have destroyed and run away from? And now it needs to be reclaimed? - I really liked Warbreaker, the magic is amazing and everyone loves a cursed talking sword. I was happy to find Zahel, Azure and Nightblood again. I always wanted a sequel for the book but if Brandon can give those characters more “screen time in SA, then I am Okay with Warbreaker not having sequels. Now I wonder why Azure is angry at Zahel and what are they doing on Roshar in the first place? - That Elantrian lighthouse keeper in shadesmar! - My man Rock shooting arrows, and Szeth joining the team! - Lift is Awesome as usual. - Hoid doing Hoid stuff as usual (new name: Midius) - Who are the ghostbloods and what are they up to? (hide spoiler)]
Overall I loved this book, and I can’t wait for Rhythms of War!! ...more

We see more mythology creatures and magic explored, and also an intriguing secret society! - Characters are evolving very well! I like how everyone is not perfect and they do mistakes and things that are "not so moral" and that make them more relatable. - The plot: the twists, how events unfold, the refreshing interludes. - Szeth-son-Neturo, Rock, Lopen.
What I didn't like: - The fact that Kaladin shines in every situation pretty much like a shonen manga protagonist, but now that we have more powerful characters I think this will change.
This book is one of the best Fantasy Novels that I've ever read and I really hope that Oathbringer will be even more awesome! ...more
