It was so slow and there was so much unnecessary dialogue and descriptioI’m have loved the three Tremblay books I’ve read* but this one: not so much. It was so slow and there was so much unnecessary dialogue and description—and lots of ambiguity with no clues—it just got really long. And then the ending felt very anticlimactic as well. Skip this one and read instead *Survivor Song or *The Cabin at the End of the World or *Head Full of Ghosts. They were all excellent....more
