Steel did not want a human and he pushed her away for most of the book. Rena's forced seduction of Steel was hot.
No repercussions or retaliation for her almost rape made me ragey. Luckily I was able to forget the names of the almost rapists when one of them had a later book. If I had not there is NO way I would have read it!
Safety Gang (view spoiler)[ no cheating near rape of female all of there books have violence toward women Hero pushed her away - A LOT Women were constantly throwing themselves at Steel (he said no to them)
For overall series spoiler read my review from the first book.... /review/show...

Heroine had her head way up her own ass. It was very frustrating. And the hero put up with too much crap - IMO.
It was also veryKinda barely a 3 star.

It was also very light on the heat and sizzle. Considering the hero was so instantly in love. Also, I did not like that the ending was pretty abrupt. What happened to all her beloved animals?!

Reviews say the hero is physically violent with the heroine. It’s probably a bridge I won’t cross even for KA.

I crossed the bridge. With regret. I loved golden dynasty. So I figured KA could make anything work. She did NOT. Sad to say I think she phoned in this book. And she went way too far with the physical violence and her sleeping with a man she thought was cheating on her. ...more

I really disliked this heroine. She rolled over and let the hero treat her like crap, push/pull/push/pull, rinse repeat. Aside from being boring a pretty boring story, I just wanted her to kick him to the curb since he lacked a set of balls. Yea - I know he had a sad and bad childhood. But a 30 something year old man (a very successful one) needs to stop blaming mommy and daddy at some point.
Not sure I will read the 3rd book. Sounds like more of the same.

Manwhore to the extreme. Had another woman in his bed during the first scene between the h and H. No details. Enemies to lovers. Without the constant Manwhore to the extreme. Had another woman in his bed during the first scene between the h and H. No details. Enemies to lovers. Without the constant reminders of his whorish ways, it would have been a fun book. It was fun, but has a cloud over it as I just did not like him very much. But if you like historical sand can handle the “rakish ways of the heroes, I think you will love this one. ...more
3.5 stars So this would have been so much better if the hero had gotten his head on straight long before the very end of the book. It was still a good3.5 stars So this would have been so much better if the hero had gotten his head on straight long before the very end of the book. It was still a good read that I enjoyed. But Zeke kept her at an emotional arms length almost the entire book. In denial that he deserved anything good in his life.
And she was so insecure she felt she would never have anyone want to be with her so she put up with it. Even when she tries to stand up for herself, she folded. They were both likable but just a bit too weak for me. I like my MCs to commit before the very end.
The good thing is they are actually together the entire book. Just not committed or even speaking. They are not even FwB. He shows up, they screw and he leaves. Sometimes never even talking. He then decides to end it because he finds himself thinking of her too often. After two months of no contact, if something bad had not happened to her that he subsequently finds out about by accident, I am not convinced they would be together at all. That takes away from my enjoyment as well.
I know I sound negative. I really did enjoy it. But the elements I did not like, really bothered me.

I don't love regency romances. I like highlanders for my historicals. But there was a later book in the series friends were raving about so I thought I would start at the beginning of the series. Big mistake.
Simply frustrating. I LOVED the first book in this series. And really liked the follow up that was written as an offshoot for the Titan Seri2.75 stars

. This picks up after the cliffhanger.
Again, difficult for me to identify with Denise because she is so closed off and Chris was not my favorite person. Honestly, she should have left him at the curb when he returned. I would have NEVER taken a chance on him. And I felt vindicated later in the book. I also hate that there was no discussion of his sexual history while undercover. I did not get the manwhore vibe from him, but it still bothered me on some level.
K2 were super sweet. Wish there were more interactions with Chris.
Totally loved the dogs. My next Dane might be named Sprockett! Such a great name!
The ending was shocking to say the least. Not bad, but really sudden and unbelievable.

I am SICK of reading about the hero fucking anything he can get his hands on. In FRONT of the heroine! I have NO respect for heroines who "fall" for these douchbags.
There is no way I can continue to read since I am already sick to my stomach at 28%. I do not care if the hero undergoes a brain and penis transplant. He is too much of a whore and a jerk for me to take one minute longer.

He remains too wrapped up in Mrs Robinson and I HATE hearing his thoughts about his previous Submissives. But I loved the confrontation at the end.
Absolute best part of the book? Not having to listen to Ana’s Inner Goddess!!!!
I am sure I will read the last Christian POV too. Just crazy like that. Want to see Mrs Robinson get the boot!
Last - for all you FSOG haters. This series got me back into reading romance after being away for over 20 years. So even though it is not great literary work, and I don’t particularly like the MCs, it will always hold a special place in my heart because I have rediscovered a genre I used to love and now love again!

Grant was a total douche bag to Jillian and she was a complete doormat. H went into military and asked her to wait. She did. He came back and blew her off, and fucked everything he could for SIX years! Then gets mad because she goes on a date! And of course leaves with a blonde bimbo after seeing her with the date. Then is all over her trying to get her back.
I like this author, but this was a total rage inducing book!

She should have kicked him to the curb when he broke it off when she was pregnant and continued to "help" but not help another two months.
I hate, hate, hate them! Him more than her. But her because she has zero self respect.
