Even from the beginning of the novel there is something very odd with the date 'March 1st'. All of Ava's great-grandparents children were born on the date and also the 6 hour old child of Margaux.
This book was the kind of weird that was a good weird. The writing was well done and I love the characters names! Although the name 'cardigan' is very odd.

There was many loose ends, but I don't know whether it contributed to the goodness of the book, or whether it made it worse. Most things did tie up and everything did seem to have a reason. ...more
I swear there is a yearly... no monthly meeting that authors go to on: 'How To Make Your Readers Cry' BecausWell. That was an emotional rollercoaster.
I swear there is a yearly... no monthly meeting that authors go to on: 'How To Make Your Readers Cry' Because I swear that's the meeting all the authors I like go too. The roll would go like this: Cassandra Clare John Green Veronica Roth ... Oh and Cassandra we signed you up for expert class.
It is amazing what an author can do in the basis of 568 pages. I knew what was happening (stupid spoilers) and I still adored Clockwork Princess. In Clockwork Prince they honestly had not moved on much in the plot, as it was all just development of the plot and characters. Which is mandatory, I know. I was wondering how Cassandra would finish Clockwork Princess from that open ending, and she did it superbly.
The only downfall is that it was a little jumpy around Christmas and in 2007.
I think I cried about three times in this book. Probably more. Cause about everytime when they mentioned Will or Jem I would just cry.
So congratulations Cassandra Clare, you officially murdered my feels. Clockwork Princess is now number 3 on my crying list. 1. Allegiant 2. The Fault In Our Stars 3. Clockwork Princess

I love all the romance at the end of the book, actually all the way through. With Will and Tessa, Tessa and Jem, Celcily and Gabriel (Oh I thought she was marrying Gideon, I take it all back) and Sophie and Gideon. So many ships, to many feels!
If you did not know I hate Jem and fortunately he could have stayed a Silent Brother for eternity for all I care, but it is nice that he came back. Because everyone was happy then. Will got Tessa. and Jem got Tessa.
It was a brilliant ending to a fantastic trilogy. I'm kinda sad that its over... :'(
There's a book hangover coming on. I can feel it.
But hey! I haven't finished The Mortal Instruments yet! Alec here I come!

You know you're in a serious book hangover when every song you listen to reminds you of the book. *sob* When you're gone *sob*...more
Firstly Beth annoys the hell out of me, expecially with the Jake thing. I saw he was bad news from a mile away. She just annoyed me so much.
In fact thFirstly Beth annoys the hell out of me, expecially with the Jake thing. I saw he was bad news from a mile away. She just annoyed me so much.
In fact this book is overly predictable. I knew what was going to happen almost half the time (although since I read heaps of books this is the case in most books) and like I said. Beth annoyed the hell outta me. Ivy and Gabe were awesome though, as was Jake and Xavier.
I really liked Jake's structure of character. How he is overly confident and how much of a smart alec he is. I could tell that he was evil, but I think you were supposed too...maybe? Maybe it expresses how blind Beth is when she's with Xavier?
I don't know what you guys think of Gabe but I think that he has a right to be stern. He has been through more life-changing things then Ivy and Beth and kinda has to be stern anyways as he's part of the Convenent (is that how to spell it?). Plus, who wouldn't be stern when you have an obnoxious teenage girl rebelling against all you believe in? But you can tell that Gabe just wants to protect Beth, and in the end Xavier too, but that may be because she's so lost without him.
Ivy is awesome though. She's kind and she's definently more human then Gabe. I think she does feel compassion and worry and stuff like that.
What I don't understand is how Gabriel, Ivy and Bethany are siblings. Okay cause: 1) Ivy is apparently as old as time and Gabe not far behind. How is Beth so young? She's treated like she's only really a 'new' angel too. 2) If they are genetically connected shouldn't they all have the same powers and/or weakness'? Why is it that Beth is different? (Yes I do understand that siblings get different hair colour and stuff which would be like the powers, but they still look a little like their siblings and if this is taken into magical content Beth should have at least one unearthly power)
Oh but the poetry in this was magical <3 But I have always loved poetry (yeah call me a nerd). This is one of the reasons Jake is my favourite character (apart from him being bloody awesome).
Overall I do rate this 3 stars, but that's only really because Bethany annoys me so much it's not even funny. Cause the plot is great, as are all the other characters but Beth... can we just all agree to kill her? Please?
((haha I read Jake as Luke somehow (dont ask me how) but then I had to go all through my review to change the Lukes to Jakes))...more
I just firstly want to note on the cover. It's irking me off way more then it should. So, Patch is supposed to be falling right? So why are his wings I just firstly want to note on the cover. It's irking me off way more then it should. So, Patch is supposed to be falling right? So why are his wings behind him. Shouldn't the wind force his wings and hair up? I'm not usually paranoid about these things, nut for some unknown reason this one is really annoying me.
Now, onto the actual story. I have no clue why there are so many bad reviews about Hush, Hush. The only reason I was turned off from Hush, Hush is Patch. Whose name is Patch? It seems like a dogs name! But I got very attached to him and now I could never think of him with another name!
It was nice seeing another view on Nephilem. You're so used to the idea of Shadowhunters being the good guys, but this book has a darker tinge on it. They are the bad guys. They weren't even supposed to be alive!
I was actually considering giving this a 4, but that last page. The adorableness!!!...more
