A good book, but it feels like this book was between two story arcs, and for me, neither was really resolved.
The first part is after SupergiHomecoming
A good book, but it feels like this book was between two story arcs, and for me, neither was really resolved.
The first part is after Supergirl has returned back to Earth after months. Her family has been ripped apart. Can she find the villain or villains behind it. Also, she might not like the answers she gets. Next, Supergirl is recruited to help Batman and Superman deal with the Batman Who Laughs' infected. What is the infection, and how does Kara deal with it?
I wanted to hive this book 3.5 stars because I felt a bit unsatisfied by the "resolution" of the story arcs. However, what was in this book I did enjoy so it fid deserve a round up. I will have to look up the main DC events of both story arcs as well as see what happened next with Supergirl....more

A very good book. I am not crazy about the format of starting every issue/chapter at a cliffhanger, then going back to fill in the blanks. I think once in a while if it is okay, but every time is overkill.
Supergirl must confront deranged unstable clones, find the proof, and come face to face to fist, with the architect and weapon of Krypton's destruction. Will Kara be able to keep herself in check? My main question is, should she have to? When she has already gotten the proof and been attacked, should she hold back?
This is one of the things I prefer about Supergirl to Superman. I like Kara's punch her way out of a situation when she is attacked rather than talking first. I also think she is more of a natural fighter as well. I did enjoy this book, but I do feel bits were left out at times. Let's see what happens next....more
A very good Supergirl story. This reminds me of the Woman of Tomorrow story. Supergirl in space and on a mission across the cosmos.
After diConspiracy
A very good Supergirl story. This reminds me of the Woman of Tomorrow story. Supergirl in space and on a mission across the cosmos.
After discovering Krypton's destruction might now have been an accident, Kara takes on the mission to find the truth and does not care who or what gets in her way, but how high foes the conspiracy go?
I like that the differences between Kara and Kal El are highlighted. Especially their temperaments and ides of justice. However, neither one of them will stand by when innocent lives are in danger. A great start to this story arc. I can't wat to see what happens next....more

It was a little slow at the start, but I really started yo get going from about the halfway point. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars if not for the slow start. It would have been an easy 5 stars.
Kara and Vahn must keep their romance and feelings a secret. This is difficult around their closest friends and worst enemies. Now Kara must enter a competition to be the next empress. Will she be accepted? Will she even survive?
I like the way the attitudes of the characters change around Kara, and she earns every bit of respect she gains. I like that Kara takes the lead in this book. Even if it did not have a cliffhanger ending, I need to know what happens next....more
I did enjoy this book, and I know it is building to something big, but I was left with more questions than answers by the end of this book.Side quests
I did enjoy this book, and I know it is building to something big, but I was left with more questions than answers by the end of this book. Their is a lot of repetition of things that happened in the earlier books. Usually, I don't mind a bit of a recap, but I don't need it over and over again. However, the book is a page turner as soon as I finish one chapter. I wanted to read the next one.
Luna and Duncan are getting more comfortable with each other despite what happened in their past. Luna's family is becoming an increasing presence in her life. Her cousins want her gone, and they are willing to go through or ally with an one to get rid of her. Despite this, Luna might still have some family support. As well as a surprise visitor.
A good continuation of the series, not as many revelations as I thought there would be in the book, but definitely some big changes, and I am definitely looking forward to the next book....more

A good conclusion to this Supergirl story arc. Most of the loose ends and plot threads are tied up. Good artwork, story, and decent character development.
Supergirl has been declared public enemy number one. Public opinion on her is at an all-time low. However, both Supergirl and Kara Danvers still have their allies. Not is the time to fight back. Can they expose the D. E. O. and keep everyone safe?
A good conclusion. More story and character development based than all-out action. (which I don't mind at all). The book finishes with a varient covers gallery and a sketchbook....more

I really enjoyed this book. I would have given it 4.5 stars, but being a lifelong martial arts student myself, the story made it an easy round up.
The Emerald Empress returns, and she is not alone. She has brought four others who will have a gripe with Supergirl in the future. However, it is the information Supergirl has not disclosed from the past that might be her ultimate undoing.
I like the story and the divided opinions on the Supergirl debate, I also like in the artwork that she looks older. Of course, the comic book moment of not giving up is always great for me. I like in the last story where science stops martial arts and spirituality might be the answer. The book finishes with a varient covers gallery and a sketchbook....more
It's a very good book. I really enjoyed the team up between Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) and Supergirl. I also like how Supergirl is trying to fitTeam ups
It's a very good book. I really enjoyed the team up between Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) and Supergirl. I also like how Supergirl is trying to fit in, slightly less of Kara Danvers in this book, but I am ok with that.
Batgirl and Supergirl meet for the first time (though Supergirl does seem to know Batman and how he opperetes). Will Batgirl help Supergirl on a side project, and should she? Supergirl also meets up with her cousin and his family. A good filler and family affair. Then Batgirl and Supergirl are back together and trapped in the Phantom Zone. Can they lean on each other to survive and escape.
A very good set of stories. One of my personal pain points is that I hate when the series (not the book the series) finishes on a cliffhanger and more loose ends that answers. That is the main reason I could not round it up to five stars from four and a half. However, I did really enjoy this book up till then. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery....more
A great start to the Rebirth Supergirl series. I did think that tricked me a bit with my favourite artwork in the first issue/chapter. The Family feud
A great start to the Rebirth Supergirl series. I did think that tricked me a bit with my favourite artwork in the first issue/chapter. The rest is good, but I do prefer the older looking Supergirl. Through I do understand why they are playing up the teenager angle her.
Kara Zar-El/Supergirl made a deal with the Department of Extra-Normal Operations for their help in restoring their powers she would work with them. So much so that she has become Kara Danvers normal school girl. All to integrate into humanity. However, things are not going well. Despite being a genius by Kryptonian standards, working with Earth technology is like being in the stoneware for her as well as having to hide her other abilities. Now, enter a corrupted version of her father, offering her a choice of everything she wants. All she must do is sacrifice humanity.
An excellent story. If I had one complaint, I think the relationship between Kara and her new family was a bit rushed, but that is just ne being too picky. I do like in this story that Kara has to use her brains and not just a Kryptonian fist to solve things....more

A very good book, I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. Good artwork and very good story.
Kara is back on Earth she wants to help, but with her disastrous stint with the Red Lanterns and Superman going crazy with the Doomsday infection their is not a great deal of trust for Kryptonians However, she might have found the right person at the right time.
Then it is back to school. Enter the Crucible. An intergalactic school for powered beings, to mould them into the peacekeepers of tomorrow. However, when the facility has different ideas on how to achieve that peace, the school will take a sinister turn. Also, a return of another member of the super-family.
I think a lot more could have been done at the Crucible to show the relationships forming, but everything seems to happen at super speed. Maybe I am just greedy for more. The fights also tended to be one strike affairs. The book finished with a varient covers gallery....more

A good but short conclusion to the series. I would have given this book 3.5 stars, but it definitely deserves a round up. The book seems to get shorter as the series went on and thr let down for me was the setups were great but the final battles or battles in general were rushed through or just s line and they are over.
Daesyn is back in Otherworld, but she is not with her mates. Otherworld bestows its gift on her. Is her destiny to be its saviour or destroyer? Who will stand with her, against her, and who will betray her?

A good book, I would have liked a bit more action. The few fights in the book are pretty rushed. Another thing I do like is Daesyn getting dome help. As much as I like an underdog story, when the odds and power are so stacked against someone, as much as I wish them to win, I have to say this is impossible.
Daesyn is banished and forgotten. She can't die but living alone in a frozen realm, constantly freezing to death only to be brought back to do it again. However, she has one ally left and a slim chance to get her mates to remember her. Is the bond between them stronger than the rune magic? All of this and there is still a final test for Poppy and the Unseelie people to free.
Everyone will be pushed to their limits, and sides must be chosen. A war is coming. This is the final setup to the final book....more

Beaten and imprisoned physically, mentally, and emotionally surrounded by enemies, a robot based on Batman/Bruce's worst/true self on the loose, Batman does what he does rises up to the challenge. However, he does have one advantage that Failsafe does not.
This book was worth the wait for the series. I was a bit annoyed that I didn't get the whole issue 150. The backup stories are here, and Batman's mission during Absoulte Power is also here. Live the artwork and the face the story fixed do many loose ends. Lots of action, and Batman was actually winning fights. The book finishes with a varient covers gallery....more

Born better than most humans (and he knows it) brought in as the high commander and face of Galactor Berg Katse suffers no rival or challenge. All those that try end up dead. However, some might have survived. Which of Berg Katse's many sins of the past have returned to destroy him.

Daesyn is held captive in Otherworld. We finally discover what the Cursed Rune does. What happened to Daesyn's mother and what caused the genocide of the Unseelie at the hands of the Seelie King. Even if she is broken free, can she trust her allies?
