I haven't come across this Author before and this one would probably have slipped under my radar if I hadn't read Sheziss's review I debated long and hard whether to put the main theme of the book in a spoiler as it's not mentioned in the blurb but it is mentioned in other reviews and I think it might determine whether or not you want to read it.
Eli is transgender going through transition.His own family have been less than supportive thinking,initially,it was just a phase he was going through and then just ignoring his needs and feelings.His father is a cop and his mother a forensic scientist and to say they are judgmental is an understatement.
Rob is, on face value, the stereotypical bad boy.Mean and Moody,covered in tattoos and has been in prison.In foster care from a young age him and his brother have had to grow up the hard way and he makes no apologies for it.
This is the first transgender book I've read and I could totally empathize with Eli.The emotional struggles he went through,the prejudices he faced,the fear of people finding out and judging him.But Rob sees past everything and just sees the man Eli is.The relationship between them was so beautiful at times but could turn ugly as Eli battles with loving Rob so much but also wanting to not completely turn his back on his family.
Anyone who knows me will know that BDSM really isn't my thing but this book totally worked for me and I think one of the reasons was the strong relationship between these two men.It's not the stereotypical D/s thing as they both switch.They are both so intune with each other that they know what the other one wants in certain situations.
It's,primarily,set in the North of England(where I'm from) and the humour and dialogue was spot on. It's not all sunshine and roses at all.They bicker,fight and have so many obstacles in their way but if ever two men were meant to be together,these two were. I loved everything about it!!

I don't know how I missed this series ... Firstly it's by two of my favourite M/M Authors... And Secondly it's a Historical M/M.One of my favourite genres and,in my opinion,there aren't enough of them out there.

Erik Dal is a powerful man in Bylondon and to say he's got a particular kink Is putting it mildly. Erik wants to train Reuben to be his Prize Stallion.And yes,there's harnesses,tails,a stable,straw and a whole lot of kink going on here.I feel as though I'm repeating myself a bit here because this is the second BDSM book I've read recently that totally worked for me(and,trust me this isn't normally my thing).And,again,the reason it worked was down to the writing and characters.
It's told only from Reuben's pov and I found him quite fascinating.He's such an innocent character in a way and it was definitely difficult to read at times. It's not romance,at this stage,but very erotic.I'm sure this won't be for everyone but I'm already reading book two and loving it.
Highly recommend for fans of these Authors and anyone who likes their M/M books very kinky...

I recently read Close Protection by this Author and loved it.I was very hesitant to read this because of the BDSM element but thought I'd give it a go and I actually really enjoyed it.I've read M/F books when I was just getting into Erotic books and did enjoy them at the time but have found that they definitely don't do it for me,so imagine my surprise when this one worked for me.
I'm definitely not an expert in this genre but I would say it's very mild on the BDSM front.I thought it had a kind of Dystopian feel about it which I really liked.As with the other book I've read by this Author the two Male characters are quite fascinating.They have great chemistry but it's not all about sex,there's a really good story going on as well.
Would I recommend this one..... 100% yes if you're a M/M fan that wants something different but if you prefer the gay for you trope/or a fluffy romance,definitely not.

I've had this series on my tbr shelf for ages and it wasn't until I saw a friend's update status that I decided to read them and I'm so glad I did.The story of Lindsay and Valentine is unique.The writing is superb and just drew me in. What can I say about these two men.They are total opposites and to say they are flawed characters is a massive understatement but,somehow,they work so well together.The story definitely isn't pretty at times but I found it so addictive and fascinating.And they are unbelievably hot together.
Valentine is without doubt one of my favourite characters...flamboyant,sassy,needy,sinfully sexy and doesn't give a damn what people think about him.His obsessive love for Lindsay was hard to read about at times but throughout everything I just adored him. While Valentine was definitely the most flawed between the two of them I found Lindsay the most complex and difficult to understand at times but in the end loved them equally.
Even though this is a hard hitting,gritty read there is lots of humour....the sex in the car scene was just priceless.And Valentine and his Monkey were just adorable(you'd have to read it to know what I mean)
This is not a conventional love story at all....but I'm so glad I read it and I'm sure it's one series I'll definitely read again. Highly recommend but not if you're after a run of the mill,fluffy story....more

Before meeting Evan,Julian had no interest in men and was unaware of the way some men looked at him. However,Evan has always been interested in men but in an era where being Gay was punishable by hanging,he hasn't been with a man for years.
I found their relationship beautiful.Yes,it's brutal at times but so damn passionate and I think both men changed,for the better,for meeting each other.
Some fascinating secondary characters who,while not always likable,played an integral part in the story.There's one in particular whose story I would love to read.
I've been dying to read this one ever since I read the blurb and I can honestly say it was better than I imagined.
Loved it.I think this is my favourite book in the series so far,I can't get enough of Dom and5 Stars!

Loved it.I think this is my favourite book in the series so far,I can't get enough of Dom and Seth. This one sees Dom,Seth and Mark finally crossing the border into Mexico but as usual things don't go smoothly.
Dom finds himself in a situation he hates.....not being in complete control. As a result Seth finds himself having to step up.
As they both battle to do what they think is right there are lies and secrets which causes a huge divide between them. It's no secret that I find Dom's jealousy over Seth insanely hot and this book is no exception. These two are just so deliciously hot together,even when they're fighting you can feel the sexual tension..... (bottle of water scene with Seth....I think I have that on repeat in my head)
Have to mention Mark who they have kind of unofficially adopted...I love that boy.I especially liked his interaction with Dom here....I would love for him to have his own book in the future.
It's difficult to go into the story in depth without spoilers but for fans of this series this will definitely not disappointed.I've read tons of M/M books and series but these two and this series are still unquestionably my favourite.

Five stories that are available individually but of course I would definitely recommend reading the complete box set to get the most out of the characters.....oh,who am I kidding....it's totally hot!!
The story of Kyle and his boyfriend Dan.Kyle might be a bit preppy,a bit innocent but he's got a very kinky side and Dan is more than happy to play out his fantasies.
I must point out that while I like my men extremely dirty,kink doesn't normally do it for me but it really,really worked here and I think it's because Kyle and Dan are highly likeable,engaging characters.
