What a disappointing book, although I did enjoy the audio production which provided a great reason for me to actually finish this book. If you're gonna check this one out, get the audiobook, skip the physical version, because the audio production made it worth it. This is a lot more character-focused at the expense of the plot making much sense, but I did like that it was a takedown of true crime podcasters being creepy to their subjects and families....more

Really enjoyed this, even if it did have some of the same problems I had with Magic for Liars (a lot of the intricacies of the world-building were notReally enjoyed this, even if it did have some of the same problems I had with Magic for Liars (a lot of the intricacies of the world-building were not fully developed which left it feeling unfinished to an extent), but this was a quick read (or listen, in my case) and I enjoyed it. It left me with some interesting questions about life and self. I just wish the world itself and the cloning issue could have been developed a touch more, and that the characters could have remained more consistent. ...more
