The plot is so intricately structured and everything falls into place so well! I think this book has the best plot out of the series as it builds up to the end and really does keep you guessing throughout!
The character development within this book is fantastic! Everyone is just that little bit sassier and hormonal which is very entertaining to read! Romione and Hinny kill me as they're just so "ughhh" and "AHHH" and do things to my heart!!
I will never not get emotional when reading or watching this book/film because there's that one death which just simply ruins me!! I will never get over it. Never.
One thing that irritates me is the fact that they didn't add all the extra information given in this book about the horcruxes or Voldemort's family etc into the movie! All the little details are so important and really add to the plot! I think that is why these books will always be my favourite, because yes the films are aMAZING but the books just have the little bit more and I will treasure them always...

I wanted a cute, realistic, summer read and that's exactly what I got! Morgan Matson has done it yet again!
From start to finish this book honestly felt so real. The characters and their relationships were so well written and it was almost as though I'd known this gang of amazing characters for years! I related to all of the characters in different ways and I honestly loved each one! Their group chats messages had me smiling from ear to ear and the use of emojis was just so on point! I loved how there was both boys and girls in the main group of friends, it was nice to see a mix of genders and personalities.
I was loving this book already but then my love massively increased when the nerdy, super kind guy comes along! I honestly related to Clark so much and I could see myself being great friends with him and Tom. Clark and Andie are the cutest fictional couple I've met in a while, they're just so great for each other and I rooted for them from the start!
Another thing I thought this book did brilliantly was the character's relationships with their parents! I feel like you never really get to know the parents in YA novels, they're either non existent or happy clappy, but in this book the relationships were real, honest and well developed!
Although I did find myself rolling my eyes at how predictable some parts were I literally did not care because I felt as they added to the whole experience of the book! At first I was expected it to drag as it's pretty big for a YA book but honesty it's such an easy and enjoyable read you won't want it to end!
It's safe to say that I will be reading any book Morgan Matson writes in the future! Her books never fail to make me realise how precious life is and how much we should value each other! ...more

Despite the size of this book I never once felt like it was dragging and that I was bored. The story honestly grips you from the first few pages I simply became hooked until the very end! The huge twists and turns within the story well and truly messed with my emotions but I loved it! The plot is complex and very clever, I adore how it all linked together and the end had me in tears.
This book has such a huge range of incredible characters who were all extremely well written, no one character was uninteresting. I personally loved Jane as a character. I love her morals and thoughts about life, they were insightful and encouraging.
The romance side to his novel was so tragic yet alluring! I was not disappointed with the outcome I will tell you that...
Brontë's writing style is what also makes this book so special. It transports you to other places through the stunning description and imagery. At times I was on the edge of my seat in suspense because the writing had me so invested!
I feel like this become has easily become one of my favourites and I doubt I will ever tire of it.

Admittedly, I had high hopes going into this book as it has been said to be as good as Gone Girl. Let me tell you, it was as good as Gone Girl and maybeee even a little bit better!
At times I tried to guess how the story will end but eventually I just gave up because every single time I thought I knew everything I was completely wrong. The story was incredible and so complex that I literally couldn't put this book down!
The main characters throughout the book are not the most likeable I have to say but they were all so intriguing and I just couldn't trust any of them.

First things first, the way that this book is written is incredible! The structure and style allows the reader to really get to know the characters inside and out without having to split up the book into different pov chapters. The story pieces together so well and there wasn't a time when I felt bored at all! At times, I was nervous as to how this book would end as I feel as though it could have easily have been pretty anti climatic but what celeste ng did was the complete opposite of that, the ending was breath taking! The writing created so many beautiful images and even the smallest of descriptions spoke volumes!
This book surprisingly dealt with a lot of important issues in regards to stereo types and race within society. The time when this book was set presented a really interesting and rather upsetting light on how it was to be of a different race in society and all the challenges they have to face just because they look "different". YA books do seem to be featuring more diverse characters these days and that makes me so happy, however I feel like they so often make a character a different race just for fun as the character will go on to live a very typical 'white' life regardless of their culture etc. Whereas, in this book the diversity plays a really important part in the story and it gave it an even more powerful effect when reading. I would love to see this book made into a tv show as the story and morals are so important and relevant today.
All of the main characters felt so real to me and, although many of them annoyed me a great deal at times, they all came to life and each demonstrated true human thoughts and feelings which, for me, made this book even more powerful and special.

Every single page and chapter (even the painful ones) were a pleasure to read! Every single character was fantastic in their own way and so incredibly written and developed! This world was so visual to me and I could not help but feel as though I was a part of this story, transported to the LA institute through the wonder that is Cassandra Clare's writing!
I have to admit when I first heard this series was happening I was a little sceptical and as time went on I felt as though I was "too old" for these books and that I didn't want it to ruin my love for the shadowhunter world. Well, let me tell you that I have never been more wrong in my whole life. This book did nothing but enhance my love for the shadowhunter world!
It is certainly safe to say that this is an emotional roller coaster of a read! It's beautiful, yet at times so tragic and my heart could not cope but I just simply could not stop reading. Even when I wasn't reading I was still thinking about what would happen next and wondering how my favourite characters were doing. I was well and truly engrossed and captivated by this book.
If you're interested in reading this (which you all sHOULD BE BECAUSE GUYS THIS BOOK IS JUST WOW) and you haven't read the mortal instruments and the infernal devices then I would say that you really should read them before this! I'm not saying this book won't make sense to you, because it will as everything is explained well, but to truly love it as I do I think you need to have read the other series because of all the references and characters from them that crop up in this book.
The reappearance of my favourite mortal instruments/infernal devices characters literally made my entire life! I can't even describe the fuzzy feeling in my heart that I got when they made an appearance! I love all these characters so so much and it was so great to see how they were doing after the years that have passed!
The new set of characters within lady midnight now posses a large majority of my heart, they are all just so amazing and felt so very real to me! Reading about them and watching them grow as characters felt so special and it made me want to go for a chill day at the beach with them yet also go kill a load of demons with them! These characters are so unique and different in their own beautiful ways and yet I felt as though I could relate to them all. I have not cared for a set of characters like the way I do for the Blackthorn clan for a long time and I'm so glad they exist! Oh and thanks to this book I now have a new beautiful, yet tragic, favourite fictional couple and I will route for them until the day I die no matter how much pain and emotion they may cause me!
Could write on and on about my love for this book because it truly was brilliant in every way! Don't have a clue how I am going to survive the wait for the next book in the series but I certainly do have high hopes for it. Watch this space guys because the dark artifices might just turn out to be my favourite series of all time!!...more

When I first started reading it took a while to get into purely because of how unique the writing style is. But when you do get used to it you see just how amazingly well written this book is.
One of my favourite things was the way the story was told from different point of views from years apart! It kept me gripped as I desperately needed to find out how it would all end.
The book ties together in such a beautiful way and it has such a fantastic ending that overloads you with a vast amount of emotions!!

The whole concept of this book was really unique and extremely well built! The way the story was structured was incredibly well done and there was never a dull moment.
Leonard Peacock is certainly one of the oddest characters I've come across but at times I couldn't help but relate to his feelings. He was very well written and it all just felt so real to me. It captured society perfectly, covering lots of different issues that are real today. Leonard's perspective on life was really interesting and I couldn't help but become emotionally involved with his life when reading this book!
My only negative is maybe the ending as I kind of expected a little more... But it worked well regardless!
This story will not leave me and it has definitely become one of my favourite books!

Zusak's writing in this book is absolutely magnificent! Some quotes had me really thinking to myself and I felt that many were just so incredibly relatable! Honestly, this is one of the best written books I have EVER read!
The events in the book have truly inspired me to go out of my way to do things for other people that need that little pick me up. Whether it be a smile in the school corridor or something that would be truly life changing, this book has shown me how every little thing you do helps and all adds up. It's so true that we can easily just live a normal boring life but who wants that? We need to get out in the world and make a difference!

But then, she did it like she always does! THIS WOMAN IS A QUEEN!!! She manages to have control over my emotions with her perfect characters and writing, this book was no exception!
Isla and Josh were beyond cute and I fell in love with them from the very start (even from Anna and the French kiss!!). As I said, their relationship was slightly unrealistic to me but it all backfired later on, making it more believable. Their relationship captivated me I couldn't out this book down!
It was nice to have a variety of scenery with this book! I loved going back to Paris but it was nice to have a bit of New York and Barcelona in there too!
There is one part of this book when all the charcters from the series meet up and (I'm not going to spoil anything but if you've read it you'll know which bit I mean) I literally has goosebumps and was crying!!! These characters and their ADORABLE relationships are part of me and I really do love them to pieces! The ending was perfect too which just made everything even better!!

What a fantastic read this book has been! I have not been so emotionally invested in a book in a while and this one completely swept me up and took me on a super cute and brilliant journey!
First thing first, I'm going to talk about the writing because wOW THE WRITING! It made the book, characters, world etc all seem incredibly real and I truly felt like I was there in the story with Emily our main character. The writing was just so real and honest, making it pretty hard for you to not be gripped to be honest!
The main characters in this book will always have a special place in my heart. I want to be best friends with them. I want to spend my summer with them because I'm sure I'd have the best time! We really get to know these characters, in particular with Emily, and it made the book that bit more enjoyable. I felt like I connected and related to them all, they were all so well developed and felt so real.
For many, the ending was anticlimactic and disappointing however I quite liked the ending and felt like it was suitable and believable. Of course I wanted a few chapters more because I really did not want this book to end but when it did end I was left with a warm feeling in my heart.
Definitely want to reread this over summer as I think it will be the perfect summer read!!

Don't think I have ever shipped two people in a YA/contempory book this much before in my life! I was rooting for Anna and St Clair since they first met!
I was constantly overwhelmed at how cute this book is whilst reading it but it sure did toy with my emotions! Unlike some typical love stories, this one was quite unpredictable and I just couldn't put the book down. It's made me really want to go back to Paris and just be best friends with Anna's friends!
The writing style was so amazing and so gripping. I felt like I really did relate to Anna on many levels, especially on how awkward she can be in social situations.

I must admit before I started this book I was a bit worried it would just be another the fault in our stars but I was extremely wrong! Yes, this book had 2 boys who were best friends and a girl with cancer but this book was far from tfios, it took a completely different take on the typical cancer teen story and it was brilliant!
first of all, this book is HILARIOUS!!!! THE HUMOUR WAS SO CRUDE I JUST COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH OUT LOUD! At one point I had to restrain myself from laughing too loud on public transport which just goes to show how funny this book really is.
The characters in the book were incredibly unique and complex that it felt like a pleasure to get to know them and watch them develop.
the writing style was great and fresh, I loved how it would change to script form every now and then and even change to bullet points at some points! The way this book was written helped me to remain gripped and love it even more!
although most of the time when reading this book I was laughing there were times where I almost cried as it really touched me. The ending was the only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of but I still loved how it all finished and tied together.
I really wish for this book to be read and loved by more people as it isn't particularly well known so this is what you need to do: 1. Buy this book 2. Read it 3. Recommend it to someone that way we can all enjoy it and get this book the love and popularity it really deserves
