Plus, new ones. Of course. Holly is now running the show for the Finders Keepers detective agency. Her new case is a thriller and a mystery. It's a missing persons case that also unfolds several cold cases.
Kings' new novel is a mystery, thriller that incorporates the horrific capabilities of evil. It runs contemporaneously with current affairs. And I know people have been writing diatribes of whining complaints of him integrating his "political agendas." How could you write a contemporary novel without mentioning the covid virus? Or the most vocal ridiculous buffoonery of Donald Trump. You really would have to be a complete idiot to think Trumps ridiculous childlike behavior didn't mold and shape the current political affairs in the United States today. Thus, any intelligent adult would have an opinion. The majority would have an expression of exasperation (if not downright retching disgust). But that is just fact. So to judge the novel on a couple throw away remarks made about Trump is obviously a "poor me" sour milk, jump to judgment, political knee-jerk reaction. ;-D
This was a very well written horror, mystery thriller. 5 stars....more

Until they net the wrong man. Who just so happens to have been hand picked by the CIA to be the next president of the USA.
I think this is my favorite John Grisham story. It is very well written with subtle hints of irony and dark humor. The character development is accurate and consistent and more importantly believable. And ultimately the story line surrounding the presidential platform for the CIA feeds on Americas fear of terrorism, which is rather foretelling with 9/11 still in the U.S. future.

I've read that there is a myriad amount of literature on "concentration camps". That some are "less" poignant than others. I suppose that the writing I've read that there is a myriad amount of literature on "concentration camps". That some are "less" poignant than others. I suppose that the writing style and ability of any particular author will lead to the poignancy of a novel. Heather Morris, is able to concentrate her words in a fashion that leads to minimal overuse. But strength in poignancy. This novel is short (comparatively speaking), but packed with much vivid emotion and historical color. This narrative is based on a true-life experience, probably and reasonably a little embellished but historically accurate. A very well written novel. Exceeds the 5-star classification....more

Richie glance at the speedometer, but I knew without looking that I was bang on the limit, not a single mile over, and he kept his mouth shut. Probably he was thinking what a boring Bullock's I was. Plenty of people think the same thing. All of them are teenagers, mentally if not physically. Only teenagers think boring is bad. Adults, grown men and women who been around the block a few times, know that boring is a gift straight from God. Life has more than enough excitement up its sleeve, ready to hit you with as soon as you're not looking, without you adding to the drama."
When you read Tana French, you not only get a mystery but you get total lives. You get history, and you come to know (sometimes loving sometimes hating) every character. This the fourth Dublin Murder Squad mystery, is by far the best. You could read this one alone and would not know the difference. But the book before, "Faithfall Place" will give you a feel for the main character (but only superficially). So don't feel like you have to go in order. *5 stars* ...more
