Not just a slow burn but slow progressing. Also the writer switches between tenses all the time and it makes it annoying to read. The FMC is very timid and for what? Because her parents didn’t love her? So she’s skittish and timid and scared of her own shadow because of that? It just didn’t make sense. She wasn’t very likable. And while I liked the guys from the pack, the pack dynamic is never explained. Elias is their omega but is he with anyone? Are the alphas together? Nothing is ever addressed. There’s one scene where the head alpha and Elias share a kiss but it’s because Lydia asked them to. It was weird. All the people saying they DNF’d, I almost did, I actually wish I did ...more
