I won't be continuing the series, it is not worth my time. At the beginning I was enjoying it very much but things took a very known turn and this became a wattpad love story very quickly. Also everybody is related to each other which makes it worse. But I enjoyed it nonetheless....more

I gave this OVER HYPED book two stars because I still DON'T UNDERSTAND the purpose of it. I don't even know what were my expectations but surely I wanted to understand the book, the relationships and most importantly THE CHARACTERS. I mean what is really going on between them, why is one of them is acting like a total bitch? And where does Blue supposed to be? I'm confused, I blame the writer for the way she wrote this. Every bit of magical information mixed with reality in my head. One of reasons is all the Latin words. I love how mystical this language is but I think the writer was fangirling over the language and forgot about the rest.
I JUST CAN'T...

Her şey allak bullaktı.
Sanırım bu sebepten 1 vermedim....more
3.5/5 Baz is now my favourite character between Rowell's characters. While I was reading, I was planning on giving this a solid 4, because it 3.5/5 Baz is now my favourite character between Rowell's characters. While I was reading, I was planning on giving this a solid 4, because it was nice and I actually quite liked the characters but then the book ended and I felt like this shouldn't have been such a long journey. I questioned why I read 500 pages on a plot like this. I know it is a fanfic of fanfic of Harry Potter and I couldn't get rid of that feeling while o was reading and constantly comparing these two worlds. But it was dull. The world wasn't explained sufficiently but there were unnecessary explanations on other things. We can say, Rainbow Rowell's style is not my cup of tea. I loved Baz, Simon was a 'meh' character for me but when they got together I felt like I missed a conversation between them or something quite didn't connect in their relationship. I think the development was weird. I could definitely see the evil person in this story and I don't think Rowell tried to really hide that. Since I prefer a nicely plotted mystery, I got a little bored....more

Maybe for some of you, thinking about 'What if's are lame, but they keep us strong, they keep us going. This book could be our world, not the skin shifter fantasy thing, but Nazis could have won the World War II, leading the world to a big misery. We could live the disaster we read on books.
This book is strong and reflects an angry part of us. The characters and the ability to change are fiction but the characters are as real as me, you, anyone. Yael, oh poor Yael, and her poor Wolves... I loved her power, her intelligence, her resilience... I could sense the plot twist, it wasn't that shocking for me but I must admit this was exciting and tiring. Deep inside, I was always wanted to read a plot like this, because from the moment I read the synopsis I fell in love with the idea and I was so ready to embrace this story. And after all, the wolves were such a beautiful metaphor, they were such a beautiful family. I could imagine Yael getting a tattoo of them, I can imagine her desperate and trying to save the world for her loved ones.
Don't forget to remember them, wolf by wolf....more

Because the characters we knew weren't acting that suspicious, there was one character that did something specifically adequate for such killer. This book was gloomy from the beginning and I couldn't stop thinking about Frankenstein, which turned out to be the story our killer started killing with. I was not impressed, I got bored a lot of times and the relationships were so weird in my opinion. Our main character had great opinions but she wasn't developed strongly therefore I cringed when she started talking about women in society, it seemed like our author forced this theme to this story. Killing women because of how they behave, because they are guilty of sins is not a new theme for books; it is actually a theme I quite enjoy reading. But I thought the characters were enforced greatly to hold this theme, they couldn't deliver it properly....more

The intensity of the possibility of this dystopia is horrible. Nearly in all imaginary possible worlds there is something irritating and broken that as readers we love to explore and dive into them. But I always think (I am sure you do too) about the cruel part of them.
Erasing our memories? We are left with the little changed truth our family gives us, no reality left, no past available for us to smile or cry over it. Crying and grieving are not bad, they are relaxing and they help people to get rid of the holes. The Program erase memories and the people is left with the feeling of it. They feel that they have lived something, they have experienced something that made them 'they' before. Even just thinking about it is really bad.
I really like the world this book opens up to. Cruel but strong. This time the characters don't fight and get shot, they don't struggle with the physical pain. They have to go through the worst; the human mind. You can't take you brain off and see the damage, you have to go with it. You can't remember, if it's damaged and if you don't know what to remember. Which is far more dangerous game than other dystopias offer to us....more

To summarise, I am not much of a fan of learning things through an interview because they don't feel sincere to me. The characters and the plot was really great but the writing just messed everything up. I like those books which have both interviews and a normal detailed chapters with dialogs and explanations while this one clearly didn't have sufficient gap information....more

The thing that bothers about this books is how basic everything is written. Like love and power, like guns and the ability of killing someone with cold blood. It is disturbing reading something that is described easily when it is hard like hell to gain the power to do it.
Sarai could have been this strong woman, but she was just a silly girl, who escaped from this drug lord, and then found a killer, and fell in love with him. This happened in the surface and we needed details to enpower the image in our minds, but the writer didn't give us sufficient feelings, so I cannot classify Sarai as a strong woman. I cannot classify victor as a totally cold blooded killer which penetrates the story and creates a cliche that I would prefer avoid in a book.
I love reading a good cliche by the way, but this one was not successful in that term. The plot could have been unique, but it wasn't. I gave it 2.5 stars because it was easy and fun to read, and I enjoyed it most of the times when I didn't have to cringe to what was happening. And some of the things just happened without a reason. As a reader, I was angry about that.
[image] Let me tell you something, escaping from a drug lord is not easy! Killing someone is not easy! Love is not that easy and last but not least DECIDING TO BECOME A KILLER IS NOT NOT NOT THAT EASY!

The world was terrific and I know I could have liked it more if I were to be faster. I liked the characters and the plot but I though things went a little slow therefore whenever I opened this book to read a chapter or two (because I was busy) I felt like I was repeating pages. I loved Laia and Elias but sometimes Laia repeated her depressing thoughts a lot, that I got bored. These details were embellished and repeated a lot while some details were not described enough....more
