It’s TLH with a different title, and instead of Olive and Adam, their names are Bee and Levi. Sure, the setting is different, the character’s names are different, but in general, the rest was…the same. Here we have another “enemiesâ€-to-lovers trope with a ridiculous misunderstanding that then leads to all the love, with a lot of science and facts about Marie Curie mixed in. Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed The Love Hypothesis, but I »å¾±»å²Ô’t plan on reading it twice in a row, and once I started LotB, I had a hard time getting through it, especially after realizing that the things I »å¾±»å²Ô’t like about TLH were going to repeat. I’m sad to write this review, because I do enjoy Ali’s writing, but this wasn’t for me, and hopefully in the future we’ll get something new and interesting from her, because clearly she’s a talented writer....more

I love the slow burn, the sexual tension, the shenanigans, and of course the anticipation of where it will lead for the characters on the pages in front of me.
Grace Travis life hasn’t been easy due to her deadbeat mother, but Grace has done what she can to make the best of her situation. She’s hardworking, dedicated and just on the cusp of getting everything she wants: to finish her interior design degree, and the freedom to finally move into the beach house her estranged grandparents left her in their will.
Noah Jansen on the other hand, well his life’s been pretty good (except for an asshole father). Noah’s got money: he’s good looking…and he has his eyes on one particular prize: Grace’s house.
What begins as a rivalry between neighbors—because Grace isn’t giving up on her dream, and neither is Noah—slowly morphs into something more than just arguments, the journey is so good. Like I said before, I’m a sucker for the slow burn and sexual tension, and Sophie, girl, you did it right. I adored this book and I hope we’ll get to see more from this friend group in the future!...more

Well, she doesn’t really have any. She’s a spoiled rich girl who reacts to a breakup by breaking into a hotel pool and throwing the party of the century, which lands her in an unexpected place: jail.
The punishment?
Her stepdad is sending her and her sister, Hannah (who bailed Piper out when she wasn’t supposed to) to Westport, a small fishing village where her late biological father was born and raised and left some property to the sisters, which turns out to be the diviest bar ever. For three months. His hope is that they’ll finally learn what the word responsibility actually means.
On arrival in town, it’s clear that Piper’s most definitely a fish out of water in their new environment, and the locals can see it. One particular local—a hot, bearded fisherman named Brendan—seems determined to give her a hard time. He’s sure she’s not going to last a night in the rundown apartment above the dive bar their father left them. But Piper is more resilient than even she knows.
I don’t think there’s ever been a Tessa Bailey novel that I »å¾±»å²Ô’t love, and this one is absolutely no exception. Once again, she managed to suck me in and make me fall in love with every single character from start to finish. Not only that, but the growth of these characters and the way she built not just the love story, but Piper's growth with the entire town of Westport was just...perfect. This is one of those books you'll always wish you could go back and read for the first time again.

Unfortunately for her, one of her professors has made it his mission to make her life miserable, at least in Willa's eyes. When he suggests she get his class notes from the lumberjack looking dude in the front row, and then gets ignored when she asks...well, it's all out war. In her head.
She has no idea the dude in the flannel, with the mangy looking beard isn't exactly ignoring her. There's a good reason Riley didn't answer her request. He didn't hear her. He lost most of his hearing in an accident, and it's not just his hearing Riley has lost. He's basically given up his entire life and retreated into himself.
He had no idea Willa was exactly what he needed to get his life back.
This book. THIS BOOK. I had major feels from start to finish. Riley was...well, let's just say he's one of my favorite book boys I've read in a while. I'm always a bit leery when I try a new author, especially in Romance. You just never really know what you're going to get these days. And let me tell you, I was so pleasantly surprised by Only When It's Us, and Chloe Liese has earned a definite fan in me. My only complaint was Willa's stubborn nature. I sort of wanted to smack her, but Riley more than made up for that. *sigh*

I don't know about anyoneI've had this one sitting on by tbr pile for a few months, and after seeing all the rave reviews, I bumped it up to the top. I don't know about anyone else, but this whole quarantine thing has me in a reading slump, so I was hoping this would help get me back into the swing of things.
Unfortunately, while it wasn't a bad book, I did not love it.
The cover itself was very misleading, in my opinion. This wasn't really a fun, light, and sweet Beach Read at all.
January Andrews is our main character, and when first we meet her, she's on her way to Great Bear Shores, Michigan for the summer. Her goal: finish the book she's promised her agent, and clean out her father's home that, prior to his death, he shared with his mistress. On her first evening in town, she has a bit of a run-in with her new, temporary neighbor...who is throwing a very loud party.
However, it isn't until the next morning that she realizes just who that neighbor is: Augustus Everett. Acclaimed author of Real Fiction. Or Gus, as she knows him. Her rival from college. The boy who picked apart all of her stories, and disrespected her love for all things Happily Ever After.
Now that these two have reunited they realize they're both struggling with the same issue: writer's block. They hatch a plan to swap roles. January will attempt to write Real Fiction, while Gus will make his best attempt at a Happily Ever After.
Like I said, this wasn't a bad book. I mean, Emily is a fantastic writer, and the smut was fantastic. The slow burn was nice. I just was't wowed by the whole falling in love bit between these two. Gus didn't make me swoon. I wanted swoon. I wanted all the swoons. I wanted more proof of the feelings between these two instead of the assumption that it existed....more

I have all of this extra time on my hands! You’d think I’d be spending it reading, and I’d be knocking out books left and right. That has not been the case so far. I’ve been in a complete rut.
So…thank goodness for you, Tessa Bailey. You’ve managed to nail yet another series where I’ve loved and adored every book.
I was so excited for Bethany and Wes story after devouring—and loving—Travis and Georgie’s book, and then Dominic and Rosie’s book. It’s usually the third book where the author loses me, but man, I have to admit that this one might be my favorite of the three. There’s just something about a bull-riding cowboy who gives good swoon
Bethany Castle wants nothing to do with Wes Daniels. Not a single thing. Okay, maybe that’s not totally true, but Wes doesn’t fit into the perfect life Bethany’s created for herself. He wasn’t part of her plan. All she wants is to branch out from her current position in the family business as the staging guru and run her own flip.
She’s tired of doing the same old thing, and it isn’t until she discovers the new family flip is located directly across the street from her house that she finally gathers the courage to stand up for herself…and Wes (swoonily) becomes her Zellweger, that everything in Bethany’s life gets a bit…messy, because now she can’t avoid him, or the adorable niece he’s in town to help take care of... so what's a girl to do? Embrace the mess with Wes....more

Not even gonna front...I put this book off because I wasn't sure it would live up to my expectations.
I was wrong.
I ended up really, really enjoying Mal and Troy's story. I will say that I was a little bit frustrated with it up until the very end when everything finally made sense. And then... *sigh* it was just so good. I'm afraid to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything for others, but if you like smart girls, hot young men and swoons galore...mixed in with a little mystery and intrigue, this book is most definitely for you....more

Emily Parker is the least self-serving person on the planet. She just spent the last too-many-years putting her life on hold for a boyfriend who wasn’t worth her time. Now she’s moved in with her older sister, and her daughter after an accident to help out while her sister recovers from a pretty bad leg injury. Of course, she had no idea when she agreed to move in with them “for the summer that it would require her to sign up to volunteer at the local Renaissance Faire…but Emily hasn’t quite figured out how to say no to anyone but herself at this point in her life.
Enter Simon, the grumpy English teacher and organizer of said Ren Faire. Also, apparently, Emily’s new arch-nemesis in all things renaissance related. In Emily's mind, Simon hates her. He picks on everything she does...but what is he hiding behind the judgy stares and short reprimands? A whole lot.
I am a sucker for a good enemies to lovers romance, and Jen DeLuca certainly delivered just the right amount of sexual tension to make this book a total winner in the swoons department. I absolutely adored Emily and Simon’s story, and I’m anxious to see what’s next for Jen! She’s earned a fan in me for sure if she keeps writing books as excellent as this one....more
