First of all, my heart is still broken with the fact that I accidentally got this beautiful book soaked up. Now the book is crumpled and stiff AND I AM SO REGRETTING IT. Anyway, this book should've been 4 stars instead of 3.7 stars. Don't get me wrong, it was good! AND there is enemies-to-lovers-trope which is my TOP favorite trope. I honestly will never get tired of reading this trope. It's just so cute, funny and melt my icy heart you know. But I cannot give it 4 stars because as much as I liked this book, I cannot deny that there were times that I got bored and I wanted to skim reading it. So let's talk about the plot first.
The Plot
OMG. The plot is truly brilliant and it was enjoyable. It was slow-paced but not dragging. So the pacing was great! and what I love from slow-paced book is that I've got the time to get to know the characters and the world within the book. I was slowly absorbing the information and also the story within the book because for me personally when information are dropped all at once or too many, I become overwhelmed and tired instead. So it was really great that the book gave the information slowly but not too long. However, I wasn't really that excited at the beginning of the book. It was kind of boring at the beginning, but thankfully it did not stay that way for long. It became engaging and made me forget the time while I was reading it. But nearing the end of the book, I got bored of it and wanted it to be done. I even contemplated to skim reading it. But then again, the plot caught my attention again. So I've got mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, the book captured my attention, but on the other hand, there were moments where I just couldn't wait to finish it.
The Characters
I LIKED THE CHARACTERS. It took me a pretty long time to get attached to the characters. Well, not really attached but they grew on me and I started to like them more day by day. My favorite character was Coco. She was such an admirable character. I NEED A BEST FRIEND LIKE COCO. The one who stands by the best friend's side and fights for the best friend. Her characterization was truly amazing. She was such a loyal and fierce friend and she was funny! she made me laugh a lot of times. The other character that I liked was Lou. She was a truly strong-willed character and I loved that. But sometimes I didn't like her when she was being rude which quite often? well, I didn't count but there were a couple of times where I just didn't agree with her actions. AND NOW ABOUT REID. I swear he's fucking hot. lol. But I admit he annoyed me several times especially in the beginning BUT he slowly grew on me and it was so fascinating and a quite thought-provoking for me to read about the development of the characters of Reid and Lou.
The Romance
Such a love was not something of just the heart and mind. It wasn't something to be felt and eventually forgotten, to be touched without it in return touching you. No ... this love was something else. Something irrevocable. It was something of the soul.
I LOVED THE ROMANCE. The book truly made me tear up about the romance AND I don't cry often while reading these days but the romance in this book managed to make me tear up. The love in this book was so hard for me to describe because it was beyond beautiful. I could never be able to put it into words of how wonderful it was. It was a love that put into tests, but it got stronger and stronger with each tests until it was unbreakable no matter what happens. Seriously, the romance in this book made me hopeful and soften my heart. Oh and the romance within this book is enemies to lovers. IT WAS SO GOOD. I loved to read about the banter of Lou and Reid. It was so heart-warming to read about their interaction.
Oh and for me personally this book is YA but kind of mature YA. There is sex scene in this book. I just feel like I need to point this out because before this year I personally used not to want to read a book with a sex scene because I was just not ready and a bit uncomfortable to read it. I just point it out so that you'll decide whether you still want to read it or not.
Overall, it was good book. I recommend you to give this book a try. The characters were admirable, the plot was pretty intriguing AND a beyond-beautiful romance. Thank you for reading and liking this review. I appreciate it very much. I hope you all have an fabulous weekend!

My Opinion Time!
The first time I saw this book, I was captivated by the cover. It was so amazing and it looked eerie and mysterious. After that I also was curious about the book itself because the plot sounded good and something that I would probably love and it's science fiction! one of my favorite genres and I also heard many great things about it, more reasons for me to read the book!

This book was pretty good and it was also funny and action-packed. I love it so much when books manage to make me laugh and I laughed several times while reading this book, a good sign indeed. But I couldn't give it a solid 4 stars or more because while I liked the book, I didn't enjoy it immensely. Like the book could be tedious sometimes. I knew I was bored sometimes, but I kept reading it because the plot of the book was pretty fascinating, even though it could be tedious sometimes but that was not a hindrance for me to keep reading it. To be honest, I initially thought that I wouldn't continue with the series, but I changed my mind and I definitely will read the sequels! even though I didn't love this book, it was still a fun read.
The Plot
The plot was fascinating and I liked it. It was unique and the technology in the book was also cool as well. This book reminded me why I love science fiction very much. But while the plot was fascinating, I also found a problem about it. The pacing of the book was slow and while I didn't complain about it, it could be pretty boring. Things did happen, but still I still found myself quite bored by the book but the plot got better! thankfully. And I my curiosity increased and my heart pounded fast and I felt like I couldn't read it fast enough. The book was action-packed and it was also funny! I laughed and grinned and rolled my eyes several times. I'm so glad I didn't stop reading the book when I was confused in the beginning because the more I read it, the more I understood the story and the technology. I indeed had a pretty good time reading the book.
The Characters
OH MY GOD. I RELLY LOVE DOOMSLUG. She's so cute and Doomslug is a cute creature. She imitated voices and she's just so cute. Every time she spoke I was like " awwwww " damn, I really liked this creature. I should've talked about Spensa or the other characters first but I talked about Doomslug first, so that definitely said something.

And M-Bot! he's also funny and weird. Most of the time, he was the reason I laughed. He's just so unique. And about Spensa, honestly I'm so conflicted every time I think about her. She was incredibly brave, determined and a fierce character. I adored her and I also loved how ambitious and determined she was but there were also times that I just disagreed with the way she way she thought and acted. She could be rude sometimes, but that made her more realistic, I guess. But still, there were times that I just didn't agree with her.
The friendship in this book was also sweet and heartwarming! I have friends in my real life and I also like them but the friendship in this book was like the other level of the friendship I have in my life. The friendship was heartwarming and strong and I really loved getting to know Spensa's friends! Spensa's really lucky to have them, I wish I had friends like them.

Wow. I haven't been moved by a book since ... I don't know ... months ago probably. This book was breathtaking. It was incredibly beautiful and so different than what I have ever read. What a fresh breath of air! and I even bought another copy of this book for my friend's birthday present and I had given it to her yesterday and when her face lit up with delight and I felt my heart was bursting with happiness because she liked it that I gave her this book. I was just so enthralled by this book that I wanted my friend to also read it. YES, the book was THAT good
I laughed. I giggled. I grinned. I cursed. I cried. This book made me feel a lot of emotions. IT IS LITERALLY THE BEST FEELING when you read a book and even the quotations in this book were beautiful. Wow. Now, I'm going to tell you in detail what I loved from this book.
The Plot
THE PLOT WAS SO GOOD *screams* It was so different that what I have ever read. So in this book there are grimoires. These are the books that can whisper, move and they can even transform into a monster, malefict, if they are provoked with a damage. SOUNDS SO AWESOME, doesn't it? and I would say that the pacing in this book was slow but not the kind of slow that made you want to throw the book. It was the perfect kind of slowness. It wasn't rushed and the book took time to explain things. I swear this book is such a fresh breath of air. The world in the book was so mesmerizing and I honestly don't know how many times I have whispered to myself that I wanted to live in the world of this book so bad.

I admit I didn't love the book instantly from the start but I kept reading it because I don't know why this book was just so intriguing and I wanted to keep reading it and I eventually fell in love with the book and the characters. It was inevitable for me to not fall in love with this book when it was such an incredible book.
The Characters
I LOVE THE CHARACTERS SO MUCH I wanted to cry. So firstly, I want to talk about Nathaniel. This guy ... where can I get a guy like him in my life? Nathaniel was just so cute, funny and such a fierce character. He made me squeal in delight and put my hand over my chest because he TOUCHED my cold heart. He made me laugh so many times and I don't laugh that often when I read so he made me laugh clearly said something here. Again, WHERE THE FUCK CAN I GET A GUY LIKE HIM? I would totally date a guy like him. β�

Elizabeth was also the main character in this book and I ADORED her. She was such a fierce character, she did not give up easily when she had a problem and she honestly inspired me to not give up and to do my best to solve whatever problem I have in my life and on top of that Elizabeth was also a kind character. She is definitely on the list of the characters that have inspired me. If I could hug her to say my thanks, I would but I couldn't so I hug the book instead. Ms. Rogerson is such a brilliant author.
Silas was also one of my characters in this book. I don't want to explain you about him in detail because I don't trust myself enough to not slip a minor spoiler, but I can tell you that he's such a complex character and I loved him so much. I wanted to hug him. Well, basically I wanted to give a hug or a lot of hugs to Elizabeth, Nathaniel and Silas. These characters were wonderful and they made the book more intriguing, more incredible and certainly more beautiful. I loved love these characters.
The Romance
The romance was so beautiful and it completely stole my heart. I loved the interactions between Nathaniel and Elizabeth and the romance between them was so real and beautiful. They respected each other and loved each other. I want this kind of romance in my life ahhhh. The romance was definitely a slow burn romance. MY FAVORITE! but I do not really think it's an enemies-to-lovers kind of romance, I mean Elizabeth never hated Nathaniel but she wasn't exactly fond of him in the beginning. The development of their relationship was beautiful. JUST READ THE BOOK. IT IS SO GOOD.
the reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because for me 5 stars are for books that I will reread again and again. While I loved this book very much, I do not think I will reread it. But hey, we'll see whether I will ever reread this book or not because I absolutely loved this book.

I read the first book years ago. There was something about the book that was so captivating. I typically did not veer toward paranormal genre. However, I did make the right choice by reading this series. Some of the things that I made me decide to continue reading the series were the characters and the humor.
This book was good enough. However, it wasnβt as good as the first book. The plot wasnβt as funny nor as intriguing as the first book. It lacked something that I couldnβt point my finger on. It was still a good book. But compared to the prequel? Not good enough.
The friendship between the characters felt strain? I didnβt think their chemistry was as strong as in the first book. Moreover, the plot wasnβt truly exciting. The ending was rushed out and kind of anticlimactic. However, I do think that if you havenβt read this series, you SHOULD definitely try reading the first book. It was adventurous, humorous and original.
Youβll be missing out great adventure, if you donβt give yourself a chance of reading this series. Will I read the 3rd book? Thereβs a high chance I will. But it will not be in the near future. I always delve into the world of this book when I miss the characters and the story once again in the future.

I honestly don't know what to talk about because this book fucking ruined me and left me without any words to utter from my mouth. I'm not complaining though. It's such a best feeling when books destroy me and hurt me emotionally and this book also lived up to my expectations. I swear I was so terrified when I started reading this book because I liked the first book but I nearly did not finish the first book because it was so freaking boring at first, that's why I was terrified when I started reading this book. I was afraid that this book might bored me or I might did not finish it but thank God, none of that happened. I relished every single day I spent with this book.

The Plot and the Pacing
The plot was so much better than the first book. It was so fucking awesome and such an action-packed book. LIKE THAT WAS WHAT I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR AND I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. Ms. Ahdieh is a great author and I love her books and her writing style is so beautiful and amazing. Her books always manage to make me sob in happiness or pain. This book never bored me. Not even once. I always got shocked when I looked at the clock while I was reading it because time seemed flied so fast when I read this book. I did not even realize that I read the book for 4 hours straight!
For the pacing of the book, well it was rather slow at first but I already expected that would happen and even though, it was slow, it was not boring at all and some things also happened. So if you read this book and then you find it really slow at first, please don't stop reading it because the the book was slow at first but it was pretty fast-paced when the book was nearing the ending AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT AND I LOVE THIS BOOK AAAAAAAAA

The Characters and the Romance
I loved all the characters in this book, well except some people though because they got on my nerves and they made me wish bad things upon them. So, in the first book I totally hated this certain character so much and I even wished for this person to just disappear and I did keep hating this person in this book but it did not last long and then after that all the hatred I felt toward this person vanished all at once. Yes, I did not agree with this person with so many things but then after that I sort of understood and I just felt like I wanted to give this person a warm hug and I just wanted to tell you again that this book made me cry ... a lot because of so many different reasons. I rarely cry these days but Ms. Ahdieh's books always make cry and just like I said that I loved all the characters in this book. Shahrzad was such a strong heroine and honestly, she was like my inspiration and Khalid, I have nothing to say about him except that I have this huge crush on him and I like him so much OH AND JALAL AND DESPINA, I LOVE THEM SOOOOOOO MUCH and the romance!! IT WAS SOOO SWEET. These characters brought so much happiness to me.

But even though, I liked this book very much, there was still something that I did not like about it and it was the love triangle. I hate love triangle so much but the love triangle in this book was tolerable for me but I still did not like it at all. In my opinion, this book would be so much better without the love triangle. But again, the love triangle was not really bad, it was rather tolerable and the girl only loved one love interest.
I will surely miss all of these characters and I even felt sad when I finished reading this book because I enjoyed reading it and I still wanted to be with my friends and the people that I really liked but I was also happy when I finished it. Overall, it was such a great read for me and I enjoyed reading it immensely.

My Opinion Time!
The reasons that I read this because Brittany told me about the romance and I also felt the need to read all of Ahdieh's books or at least try reading them and it's all because of Flame in the Mist, I loved that book so much! So, This book is a retelling of One Thousand and One Nights and to be honest, I haven't read One Thousand and One Nights.
When I decided to read this book, I had these high expectations about the book and HOW COULD I NOT? when I loved the other book of the author so much but then surprisingly, I didn't enjoy reading it at first because I expected a lot of actions and there was too much talking and I ACTUALLY thought to dnf the book because AT FIRST I couldn't relate to Shahrzad and then Khalid was cold, too distant, bland and boring but then it all changed. It all changed when I was on page 103. My interest in reading it more began from this page and I had never been bored anymore since page 103. So it took me a quite long time to connect myself to the story of the book and relate to Shahrzad and the romance.

Another thing that fascinated me about Ahdieh's books is that I constantly need a dictionary with me while reading her books because every time I read her books, I often open a dictionary to know the meaning of some words and it happens so constantly to the point that I always put my phone beside me while reading her books and I'm actually happy because this way I can improve my english vocabulary. ( English is not my first language but I have been very interested to learn it and actively studying it since I was 8 years old ).
AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY TIMES I CRIED WHILE READING THIS BOOK. OH MY GOD. It's not only the plot that made me cry but it's also because of the writing style. I don't like flowery writing style or a very beautiful writing style and don't ask me why because I don't even know. lol. But I totally love Ahdieh's writing style because her writing style is beautiful but not overly for me and so many lines written by her make feel as if those lines stab me in the heart and make my eyes teary and cry.
"When I was a little girl in Thebes, I remember asking my mother what heaven was. She replied,'A heart where love dwells.' Of course, I then demanded to know what constituted hell. She looked me straight in the eye and said, 'A heart absent love.'" (page 209)
"Some things exist in our lives for but a brief moment. And we must let them go on to light another sky." (page 296)
There are many more lines in the book that make me cry and please read the book yourself, you won't regret it or maybe even though you don't end up liking it in the end, at least you have tried reading it. I don't know how but Ahdieh's writing style always makes my eyes teary and makes me clutch my chest on one hand and stifle tears. This is why I love her writing style.

The Romance and The Characters
Actually, I wanted to read this book years ago but then I knew there was a love triangle in this book and that prevented me from reading it because I LOATH A LOVE TRIANGLE SO MUCH.But then Brittany told me and explained me about the romance and I was convinced to read it and after I read it, I can say that the love triangle in this book is the kind of love triangle that I can tolerate. I won't go into full detail about it but I'm just gonna explain it briefly. So the MC has a first love but we don't see many scenes between them and the MC barely thinks about him and the MC is not the kind of character that I absolutely hate in a love triangle situation. The kind of character that is torn between two people ( God. That is why I hate a love triangle. It's so annoying. ugh ) because in my opinion, this doesn't happen in the book. The MC even rarely think about her first love and then she falls for another man. So, if you are like me, you hate a love triangle, then don't worry. The love triangle in this book is not bad. For me, it's tolerable.
AND OH MY GOD. THE ROMANCE IN THIS BOOK. It's enemy to lover. MY FAVORITE TROPE. *squeals in delight* It's so good! and It literally made me sobbing and I don't sob often while reading books these days but THIS BOOK managed to make me sobbing. Oh my God. Every time I read this certain scene, I always find myself swiping my wet cheeks due to the tears. I could feel the romance and the spark of romance between them. I often found myself smiling because it's so sweet and romantic and there was no single scene that I found cheesy. Every romance scenes between the MC and her love interest were all hot, romantic and sweet. It's really good!

There is only one person that I hated hate so much. It's the other guy like wtf, just stay away and I hate this person so much and every time he spoke ill or even thought badly about MC's love interest, I felt as if there was a fire inside me and my blood was boiling and I wanted to punched this guy so badly. THE MC'S LOVE INTEREST IS BETTER THAN HIM. HE IS NOTHING COMPARED TO HIM AND I HATE HIM SO MUCH. Every time I read his POV, I rolled my eyes and then I also counted how many pages left I had to suffer by reading his POV. Yes, my friends, I hate him that much. I FUCKING hate him so much Oh and If I only I got the chance to speak to this guy, I would totally say this :

and the secondary characters in this book were all amazing! My favorites are Jalal and Despina. They made me laugh and smirk and giggle so many times. Just read the book and you'll know what I'm talking about. I love them!

Finally. That was the first word that I uttered after I finished reading this book because I finally finished reading it! and I also want to admit that I skimmed reading it a little bit when I nearly reached the end of the book because I just couldn't wait to finish reading it. But don't get me wrong, the book wasn't terrible. It was fine. Pretty good but there were also some things that I didn't really like and I also read this book for nearly a month and I just wanted to read something else. That's also the reason I skimmed reading it.
So, I don't really know why it took me such a long time to finish reading it but every time I read this book, I just couldn't be focused. I got distracted easily and then I got sleepy after I read it for a few minutes and then I fell asleep. The book wasn't boring but ... it wasn't really good either for me. It was fine.
The plot was good and despite getting easily distracted or sleepy frequently when I read it, I was actually curious about what would happen next and the ending. It wasn't boring, it was a pretty fun book to read and I also enjoyed reading the technology in this book! it was amazing. I was so excited to read it at first and I was still excited for a week or so but then later on, I suddenly felt not that excited anymore and I don't know why! it just happened. Oh and about the references in this book, I didn't understand most of them but I still could understand the plot and everything, even though I didn't understand most of the references and I still could pretty much enjoyed reading the book and about the characters, to be honest, I don't know what to talk about the characters. They weren't boring but they weren't ... fascinating or really interesting either ( except Aech because I liked this character and this character made me smile a lot! ).
I would enjoy this book a lot more, if it didn't have romance but there was a romance in this book. Well, it certainly was not much but I didn't like it at all! I wish there were no romance at all and I'm sure I would enjoy it a lot more. in my opinion, the romance was boring, lack of connection or romance spark. It was just so freaking boring and I found myself rolling my eyes. The romance was not good or interesting for me. I just didn't feel anything toward the romance except annoyance and disappointment.
Overall, this book was fine and I didn't regret reading it because there were times when I felt so excited to read it and it was also not purely bad and it wasn't boring. It was just not interesting and good enough for me but it was a fine read.

I read this book while I was in reading slump and IT WAS THE WORST READING SLUMP I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. IT LAST FOR A FEW WEEKS. I swear those days when I was in reading slump, I felt hollow, empty and I didn't know what to do and I was frustrated a bit for not being able to read like I usually did and thank God, this book was the book which got me out of my slump. When I read this book, I didn't feel excited or surprised or anything even when I didn't expect something to happen but it wasn't a bad read either. It was pretty fun but I honestly didn't feel anything and LET'S BLAME THAT TO THE READING SLUMP. Reading slump sucks!
This series isn't my favorite but and my favorite book in this series is just the first book because it was so amazing and I loved it but the next books were just okay. Honestly, I continued reading this series because of the writing style. It was so good and hilarious! I loved it.
Overall, I quite enjoyed reading this book even though I didn't feel any kind of emotions while reading it and this book got me out of my slump, so YAY!

I should've written this review a few days ago but I didn't because I was pretty busy and well, lazy as well hahaha. My first year in university has started since Monday and I have been pretty busy with tasks lately but I'm enjoying my college life! ( so far ) it's so much fun!

βοΈ Did I ever tell you how I love the writing style of this series?? The writing style is SO good! It's really funny and the writing style is the first reason I enjoy reading this book. Like how could the author write this perfection?? Seriously, the writing style is so perfect.
The wind blowing through my ripped clothes was so cold that I felt like a Percysicle.
βοΈ NICO DI ANGELO. Look, I'm the last children in my family, so I have always wanted to have a little sister or a little brother and OH MY GOD! NICO IS SO DAMN CUTE! I want him to be my little brother and he needs to be protected at all cost and OH MY GOD. at first I couldn't even guessing who his godly parent was but then when I was half way through the book or nearing the ending, I just had this thought that he might be the son of Hades and I WAS RIGHT and my heart was breaking for him. look, at first, I didn't even believe that Biance died. I just thought that she would somehow survive but then I realized that she died ... and my heart was breaking for Nico. I have a big sister who I love so much and just the thought of losing her scared me so much.

Thankfully, I didn't read that scene in public otherwise I might got funny looks from my friends or anyone but I kind of thought that Grover was kind of strange, you know. why would he camp outside the Artemis cabin? and the reason was just that he wanted to be near them? LOL. Grover is so funny, I like him so much.
βοΈ my eyes got a little bit teary when ZoΓ« died. Why did she have to die?! ZoΓ« was an interesting character and I wanted to read more about her but she died. why do this always happen to me? every time I started liking certain characters, they either get hurt or die. why have I done to deserve this kind of torment???????

I don't know where to start to talk about this book but first of all, I want to tell you that this book changed my life. I will never be the same anymore and I'm not being exaggerated. I'm going to tell you this now :
few months ago, I had a crush that I liked so much and he's older than me. he's 19 years old and I'm 18 years old and we started getting to know each other and I thought he was sweet and he's pretty cute and pretty handsome so yes, I was attracted to him and that time I felt like I was falling in love so we chatted through our phones until past midnight for a few days and then I realized that the more we chatted, the more I realized that I was the only one who fought for him and I tried to talk about everything so our conversation would always go on but he didn't do the same for me so by the time I realized that he didn't feel the same for me and I was the only one who fought for him, I felt heartbroken and he also made me feel worthless, So I stopped trying to make our conversation long because I was just so tired for fighting for him alone and we finally stopped chatting each other.
a few months passed and I moved on but not completely, I still quite felt hurt and sad until this book came into my life. When I finished this book, I realized that I didn't love my crush and I wasn't falling in love with him or maybe I was, but only to his appearance and I finished this book, I felt completely moved on. now, I no longer feel hurt or sad or disappointed or anything because the more I think about him, the more I realize that he's not as cute or amazing or whatever I used to think about him.
so many quotes I love from this book and one of them is this quote because this quote changed how I think about that guy I used to like.

if you haven't read this book, I highly recommend you to read it because this book was really great and the romance was also sweet.

WHAT A HILARIOUS BOOK. This book is truly the most hilarious book I have ever read and I do not laugh often while reading but this book made me laugh so many times I lost count. I swear I even avoided reading this book in public because it's so hard to contain all the laughs! One time I tried reading this book in public and I was only a few minutes into the book and I wanted to laugh already. The humor alone in this book made the book so good. So if you want to read a book that is full of humor, I suggest you read this book! :D

But I have to admit that I wouldn't have given this book 3 stars if it hadn't been so funny. I would've given it lower than 3 stars. But thankfully the book was funny so I gave it 3 stars instead because the humor was really good. However, the book did not live up to my expectations. I mean I was so excited to read this book that I even squealed and did a happy dance in front of my mom when this book arrived at my house. I was just BEYOND ecstatic you know.

Sadly the excitement didn't last long because I realized that the book wasn't as great as I thought it would be. It's just that I couldn't bond with the characters in this book. They weren't annoying or anything. They were just .. fine. Except Finnian because I liked Finnian better than any of the characters in the book. He was the reason I laughed so much. I need this guy to be my best friend! Oh and Kal is hot and that's it. That's the only thing I've got to say about the characters. They weren't boring but they weren't interesting either except Finnian. That guy was awesome!
The plot of the book was fast-paced and it was also action-packed. The book didn't throw all the information all at once which I really liked because I tend to get overwhelmed when I am given too much information all at once. But I still have some questions. Maybe I will find the answers later in the sequels and to be honest I am not going to continue reading this series. I had a good time with this book but I was also disappointed and it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.

This book is about a girl named Hattori Mariko, whose convoy is attacked by the Black Clan, when she is on her way to the palace to meet her future husband, the future husband she does not choose and love. She is supposed to be dead but she survives and now, she wants revenge. She dresses as a boy and then she wants to find out who sent the Black Clan to kill her and why this person wants her dead.
My Opinion
OH MY GOD. I didn't expect this. I didn't expect I would love it this much. I didn't expect the pain that I would suffer when I finished reading it. I swear, I thought about this book a whole night, last night, because I just couldn't forget how amazing it was and how it caused me a great pain. I shed tears several times over the beautiful and powerful quotes in this book. The quotes are both beautiful, powerful and great at the same time and I found myself nodding and agreeing to these quotes. There are so many quotes that I love in this book and my copy is full of sticky notes. These are one of the quotes that I love :
"There is such strength in being a woman. But it is a strength you must choose for yourself. No one can choose it for you. We can bend the wind to our ear if we would only try."
Fear kept her alert. She would always let it feed her. Never let it consume her.
and there are still so many more quotes that I love so much that I won't put them here, because you need to read the book to see these quotes. But believe me, the quotes are so beautiful and powerful.

The Plot
I LOVED THE PLOT. Honestly, I can't decide whether it's slow-paced or fast-paced. I mean, there are many things that happen in the book but when I finished the book, I felt it was so fast. But I also think it's slow-paced because I got the chance to know the secondary characters and the MC. Sorry if I'm being confusing hahahaha because I honestly can't decide about the pace of the book. for me, it felt both fast and slow paced.
AND THIS BOOK MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD. THAT RARELY HAPPENS. I cannot tell you the story because it might be spoiler and I don't want to spoil anyone, But I laughed several times while reading it. Most of the time, it's the banter between Mariko and Εkami. They're just so funny and I can't help but laughing or grinning, when they bicker.

The Romance

I TOTALLY LOVED THE ROMANCE. THIS IS THE KIND OF ROMANCE THAT I LOVE TO READ. It is enemy-to-lover and for me, it didn't feel rushed or forced to happen. It was sweet and romantic and IT WAS SLOW BURN AND NO LOVE TRIANGLES. THIS IS THE KIND OF ROMANCE THAT I ALWAYS LOOK FOR IN BOOKS.
The MC and the love interest took time to know each other and they eventually developed feelings for each other and it happened slowly, not instantly and by the time I finished this book, I got these feelings that one day, I want to have a man that look at me and think about me the way the love interest look and think about Mariko. I just don't know what else I have to say about the romance, other than I loved it and I SHIP IT. I hope to see more of the love interest in the second book. I CANNOT WAIT TO READ IT. I HOPE THE SECOND BOOK WILL DESTROY ME. I love to be destroyed by books.

The Characters
*inhales* *exhales* I COULD RELATE SO MUCH TO MARIKO. I swear, when I read this book and I felt like I was looking in the mirror, because I could relate to Mariko so much and Mariko was an amazing character. She was brave, fierce, strong, clever and determined. Look, even though I could relate to her very much. I wouldn't be as strong as she was. Maybe I would weep. Everything she had been through was beyond what I could bear and she was strong and fierce to deal with these problems. Honestly, I want to be just like her.
AND OH MY GOD. THE BROMANCE AND THEIR LOYALTY TO EACH OTHER. OH MY GOD. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF IT. I NEED MORE. THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS LOOKED FOR IN BOOKS.
Basically everything that I have always looked for are all in this book and I am so glad that I read it. This book is beautiful and the quotes in this book are purely beautiful and powerful. I love them so much.

My Opinion
Honestly, I had high expectations toward this book. But hey, you can't blame for that. I mean after reading the second book, which is Gemina, I couldn't help to have high expectations toward this book. Gemina was REALLY good and I loved it so much. I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy reading, because I did enjoy reading it.
However if I compare it to the second book, then I will say that the second book was WAY better than this book. But if I compare this final book to the first book, then I will say that this book was better than the first book. I expected a lot of things in this book AND this book has my favorite trope of romance that I have always loved since years ago! it's enemy-to-lover romance. I will never get tired of reading this romance in books.

however the more I read this book, the more I realized that this book didn't meet my expectations and honestly, I was not even shocked. This happens VERY often. like SO many times. I have reached to the point of disappointment, that I NO LONGER CARE because it happens so MANY damn times.

so firstly, let's talk about the plot
The Plot
The plot was good and I enjoyed reading it. But again, if I compared this book's plot to the second book's plot, then I would say the plot of the second book was much better than this book. To be honest, I couldn't say whether the plot was fast-paced or slow-paced. For me, it was fine. It wasn't fast nor was it slow. however, I have admit that the plot confused me at first. There was a time, where I was confused but then in the end of the book, I understood, thankfully. But, I had to open the book again and think for a few minutes to grasp the information and understand it.
For me, the plot was fine. It was interesting but it wasn't interesting enough to keep my eyes glued to the book. That was the reason why I took quite long time to finish reading it. In the beginning of the book, it was interesting and I was so intrigued to read more but a few days passed and when I reached half way through the book, I wasn't that intrigued anymore. I was indeed still interested to keep reading it but I wasn't very excited or intrigued anymore. I don't know why that happened. Maybe because I expected too much?

HOWEVER, THIS BOOK MADE ME CRY. I'm not being exaggerating, but this really happened. I'm not going to explain it in detail because that would be spoiler. So ... I cried and I was sobbing and I swore a lot. Tears were streaming down my cheeks and I cried so hard. There was a moment where I cried because I was sad and frustrated and I couldn't accept it, but there was also a moment where I cried happy tears and I swear, I even clutched the book to my chest HAHAHAHAHAHA. Come to think of it, I'm so glad that no one walked on me in that situation because I WAS SUCH A MESS AT THAT MOMENT.

The Romance and The Characters
Now about the romance. This book has new characters and previous characters from Illuminae and Gemina. So there were several romances in this book because there were several people with their own love interests and there was a romance between these two people that I liked very much and I could feel the connection between them and I shipped them so much.
But then there were these romances between these people ( they had their own love interests ), that I didn't really feel the connection between them and I couldn't feel the spark of romance between them. But at least, I had a romance that I enjoyed reading in this book, even though the other romances between those people didn't really catch my attention. Just ask me to know more in detail about who these people and these romances that I liked and didn't, because I'm not gonna explain in detail on this review. I'm afraid, it might be spoiler. So just to be save, I'd rather not explain it in detail.
Now about the characters, to be honest, I wasn't that connected or even liked the new characters. I have no reason to not like them because I didn't even have problem with them but I somehow couldn't like them or connect to them. I'm not saying the main characters were boring or bland or plain, which they weren't but they were also lacked of ... something and I don't even know what. I just know for sure that I wasn't really fond of the new characters. They were just fine for me. They were neither amazing nor bad.
lastly, before I finish writing this review, I'm just gonna say that I like Ella Malikova so much to the point that I want her to be my little sister because I adore her and she's amazing and I like her sooooo much. omg. I wish I had a little sister AND I WOULD BE SO FUCKING HAPPY TO HAVE ELLA MALIOVA AS MY LITTLE SISTER.

it still feels weird to me me for finishing this series. I mean, I had read this series since August and I feel really ... weird. I feel like I just bought the first book yesterday instead of months ago. I feel like I just read the first book yesterday instead of months ago. Months ago, I thought I would feel okay when I finished this series but I do not feel that way. I feel ... like empty or hollow on the inside, you know what I mean, right? like there is this sad feeling and you just want to read it forever and ever but you can't because the story is over and there is nothing you can do. the only thing you can do is hugging the book because that way you would feel much better, like you actually hug the main characters. maybe this is how it feels like when you have to say goodbye to your best friends who have always be with you. no matter how difficult the situation is but they are there.

I always envy those people who grew up with Harry Potter series. I envy them because they have such incredible childhood and me, I was a muggle that time and I used to hate reading novels so much and I had never once thought that I would love reading novels as much as I love breathing.
Harry Potter series also has a great impact in my life. I was the kind of girl who always shy and never be myself because before reading HP I wanted people to like me, so I became what they wanted me to be and I rarely stood up for myself even when I knew I was right but Harry Potter series has changed me.

I just don't care about them anymore. I don't care when they say about me such a weirdo because I am not ashamed of being myself anymore because this is who I am and Luna also taught me one more thing, when you are being yourself and everyone teases you because of it. don't you ever worry about it because your true friends will come to you. these friends will accept who you are. like I told you, I used to be very shy that I never stood up for even myself. few weeks ago, my friend who always insulted me, she insulted me again and no one in class was brave enough to stand up for themselves. the next thing I knew was that I snapped back at her and she was shocked and she has never insulted me again since that accident and she is kind of nice to me and we're friends now. This series has changed me to be a braver person.
I don't think I can say this is a review because it's all about me and one more thing,,(view spoiler)[ I will never ever forget 2nd May 1998. I lost so many great friends Remus, Tonks, Colin, Fred, Sirius and many more.

I'm really enjoying this series so far but this series gets darker and darker. the first three of this series were so funny and cute even though there were sad scenes on them and the fourth, fifth and sixth books contained so much pain and I even shed more tears for these book than I did for the the first three. I have lost a favorite character that always made me laugh and smile. this character is Sirus Black. I even still can't get over his death. but let's admit it that maybe there's a death of character that we will never get over.

I have never liked Fleur Delacour very much since I first saw her on the book four and then I saw her again on the book four as Bill's girlfriend or Fiancee and I also laughed when Ginny called Fleur Phlegm. I also still don't how Bill fell in love with her but yeah, she is pretty but I thought Bill deserved someone better than her. I like Bill so much. he is so cool with his red long hair. maybe I didn't like Phlegm because I was jealous hahahaha okay it is not maybe, I was jealous. but look at this scene :

that was really annoying and Ginny also found it disgusting. Hermione and Ginny didn't even like her. but she changed my mind on the the end of this book because when Bill was attacked by ... that werewolf guy who bit Remus when he was a kid. Bill is no longer as handsome as he used to be but Fleur still loves him. she doesn't care about how he looks and I even thought she would leave him after he was attacked but she didn't and that time I changed my mind about her. She is the right girl for Bill, even though I am a little bit jealous hahaha xD
Ron and Hermione
I ship these two so much and I really really like Ron. Ron and Hermione are always funny. they always bicker about something and I think the first time Ron fell in love with Hermione was on the book four because he was so angry when he knew Hermione went to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum and in this book Ron hurt me so much. He thought that Hermione kissed Krum and he was so angry and jealous because of this and he kissed Lavender in the common room that was full of people and it also broke Hermione's heart.
Harry looked into the corner she was indicating. There, in full view of the whole room, stood Ron wrapped so closely around Lavender Brown it was hard to tell whose hands were whose.
And I was so angry in that moment

'Er - my - nee,' croaked Ron unexpectedly from between them.
but all my anger was gone when he was poisoned and he said that while he was asleep. I think he was trying to say Hermione, so that meant he dreamt about her and I forgave him that exact time and he also didn't really like Lavender anymore since then. he even pretended to be asleep when Lavender came to visit him in the hospital wing. so that meant he didn't like her anymore and I don't think he actually liked Lavender before he was poisoned. I think he just kissed Lavender because he wanted to make Hermione jealous and feel hurt, which he successfully did.
Harry And Ginny
have you ever thought why Ginny had relationship with quite many guys? wait ... not many guys because she just dated two boys, Dean and Michael. But she always got a boyfriend as soon as she split up with her ex and my thoughs about this is probably right because Ginny said this to Harry on the end of the book
'I never really gave up on you,' she said. 'Not really. I always hoped ... Hermione told me to get on with life, maybe go out with some other people, relax a bit around you, because I never used to be able to talk if you were in the room, remember? And she thought you might take a bit more notice if I was a bit more - myself.'
I think Ginny always dated a guy as soon as she split up with her ex because she always tried to forget Harry, so maybe if she had a boyfriend, she wouldn't love Harry anymore. But according to what she said she never really gave up on Harry so that means she has always loved him. I was a bit sad when Harry said they can't be together again because Harry was afraid if something would happen to Ginny if they kept seeing each other. he was afraid if Voldemort used Ginny to get him. but I didn't angry with him because this just proved how much Harry loves Ginny and I am sure they will be together again. I hope so ...
Dumbledore's death
I admit that Dumbledore is not one of my top favorite characters in this series but I always found him funny and a bit weird, in a good way, of course. But his death left me in shock because he was actually pleading to Snape but Snape killed him with The Avada Kedavra curse and I thought Snape was on the good side. What will happen now after Dumbledore died?! He is the only one Voldemort is afraid of. I have this feeling that I'll to lose my favorite characters again ...
