Small and easy to carry around with you, especially to grocery shopping to find the ingredients. I have made two dishes from this cookbook but will for sure make more! I have tried noodles made with butternut squash. It's a new dish for me and being not a fan of pumpkin in general, this dish didn't win my love unfortunately. I also tried following the recipe for Zoodles and Shrimp and loved it. I have made it again for the second time and eat a plate for lunch and another plate for dinner. I loved it a lot. I can't wait to try out other recipes in this book! There's the broth recipe that's useful for multiple dishes that I'm eager to try. It's getting a bit chilly here in the morning and I would love to try those soupy noodles. The recipes were easy to follow and not a lot of writing which I love!!

I started cooking following the recipes from Feeding the Frasers: Family Favorite Recipes Made to Feed the Five-Time CrossFit Games Champion, Mat FrasI started cooking following the recipes from Feeding the Frasers: Family Favorite Recipes Made to Feed the Five-Time CrossFit Games Champion, Mat Fraser on 12/7/2021. I made Roasted Garlic-Parmesan Drumsticks. It was delicious. I forgot to take pictures while I prepared the chicken so I’ll insert it in when I cook it again next time. My family loved this dish and I ate it with lobster ravioli and vegetables I had. The recipe was easy to follow. One step I skipped in this recipe was roasting the garlic because I forgot to buy new garlic. I did use garlic just not roasted because the garlic I had was many days old. I also didn’t put red pepper flakes because I didn’t want it spicy. I have never cooked my chicken with all of these ingredients before so it was good to try something new. It looks like a lot of ingredients to deal with but it was a fast dump to a bowl.
On 1/11/2022, I attempted at making Mustard-Roasted Potatoes and Asparagus. Let me put it out there. I have only eat mustard with hotdogs ever! But this cookbook has converted me into loving mustard in my dishes! And I loved this recipe. It’s easy to make and it tasted yummy! The recipe again was easy to follow and I have since made this dish twice! I had shrimp available in the fridge so I just ate it with shrimp. The second time I ate it with steak. I’m confused by the white balsamic vinegar because at the supermarket I have only seen white vinegar or balsamic vinegar. I substituted for rice vinegar but only put a little. The second time I made it I skipped the vinegar altogether. Since I have the early copy of the cookbook, the pictures in the book were black and white. Hopefully my cooking were similar to the author’s.
This cookbook opened up to a table of contents. The organization will start in this order: Breakfast: Savory, Breakfast: Sweet, Poultry & Pork, Beef & Lamb, Seafood, Sides Salads & Sandwiches, and lastly Snacks & Sweets. There are pictures of the author and her husband who inspired her cooking throughout the cookbook. An introduction page told about the author growing up. She said she didn’t grow up cooking alongside her family. She decided to cook because of the efforts her parents made to bring family together for a meal at the end of the day.
I loved the author’s personal short story at each recipe. I loved soft-boiled eggs too while my husband preferred hard-boiled. Her breakfast salad story made me smile. I will have to try making that salad soon.
Those Pro Tips on some of the recipes were helpful.
There are so many dishes I want to eat in this cookbook. I’m excited to try out more recipes.

I ended up making it again the next day because I didn’t follow the recipe exactly the first time. It was because there were only two eaters versus three. The less fillings the better I shall hint here. I loved it. Tasted delicious and easy to make.
On February 4, I learned to make Magic Tomato Sauce. This tomato sauce was used for making pizza, pasta, and lasagna. See below for my attempts at making Octopus Pizza!
On the same night of February 4, I attempted at making Octo-Pizzas! Let just say here that my toddler called it Starfish pizza! Thank goodness it still tasted good! I must say I couldn’t follow the pizza dough recipe exactly because my dough came out to be super dry. I wonder if I use All Purpose Flour and it’s dried as compared to bread flour per the recipe. I made it again and my toddler called it Hand Pizzas! I think it looks like a Ghost Pizza haha but despite that, it was delicious. Even my picky toddler eater loved it.
On February 5, I learned to make Perfect Pasta Bake. There were no meat to this dish and I thought it wouldn’t taste good but it was delicious! This dish use the magic tomato sauce I made above.
This book is actually a cookbook for youngsters who are interested in cooking. My 10 year old is not interested in cooking so I’m making it for him to eat.
This book opened up to the author’s introduction. He has a twin brother and another cookbook prior to this one. The author liked to experiment with different foods like cake made with avocado. I have yet to try out that recipe.
Next is the contents and equipment list as well as cooking terms.
This is my first cookbook with dishes for kids and I loved it. My toddler is a picky eater so a cookbook with different dishes definitely came in handy. It’s also healthy so I don’t worry about serving them to my kids! I highly recommend this cookbook to everyone!

I started cooking a dish in Ramsay in 10 called Warung-style fried noodles on 11/23/2021. I honestly didn’t prepare well when I wanted to cook this diI started cooking a dish in Ramsay in 10 called Warung-style fried noodles on 11/23/2021. I honestly didn’t prepare well when I wanted to cook this dish. I was at the supermarket and wanted to eat noodles but I didn’t have a copy of the recipe with me so I couldn’t buy all of the ingredients. I bought what I could remember from reading the recipe previously. So in this dish on my first attempt, I missed ground coriander, ginger and garlic paste. I did use fresh garlic though. I substituted shrimp for bacon and sweet potatoes starch noodles instead of flat rice noodles as well as mung bean sprouts instead of bean sprouts. Oh! And leek instead of scallions. Despite missing a few ingredients, I enjoyed the meal a lot. I planned to cook this dish again soon! I cooked a big portion so it didn’t meet 10 minutes mark. But I had second helpings! The recipe was easy to follow. If you have an oriental market nearby, you can find all ingredients in there I believe. I got the noodles, bok choy, leek, and sprouts at a Korean supermarket near my house.
On 12/11/2021 I tried cooking Blackened steak with kimchi fried rice. I skipped the pickled radish portion of this dish. The only missing ingredient in this dish was the chopped chili. I didn’t want it spicy in case my kids eat it. One mistake I made was my misunderstanding of the recipe. I didn’t know to cook the flank steak as a whole piece or cut up. I cut it out before cooking so it came out well done instead of medium. I loved this meal. It was definitely quick to cook. Again, I visited a Korean supermarket for kimchi but you could buy it at Costco. This cookbook introduced me to flank steak. It’s my first time eating it. I have eaten prime rib eye, filet mignon, t-bone, but not this.
The title of this book says Ramsay in 10 is a promise that every dish in this book will take 10 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook. But of course, that’s only for chefs, chef Gordon explains it as well in his introduction page that it will take us longer when we cook it at home only because we don’t know the recipe well. That doesn’t mean the servings are for just one or two. I see there are many dishes meant for four people too. This cookbook opens up to a table of contents. There are pictures of the chef, Gordon Ramsay cooking with his family throughout the book. Next, an introduction page, introduces readers that this cookbook was inspired by his YouTube channel. I rarely watch YouTube because I’m racing to read as many books as I can because I’m a book reviewer so I don’t know Gordon Ramsay and his cooking channel. My mom likes to cook so she knows him and watches his YouTube channel. I know him now because I have his cookbook on my shelf and I’m reading about him!
There’s a page to give readers an overview of the cookbook. There are recipes for Fast Food, Great Food, Clever Short Cuts, etc and explanations to symbols such as V for Vegetarian dishes and VG for Vegan dishes. Another page chef Gordon wants and it’s for readers to follow a few rules to guarantee cooking good food fast. Those are to buy good fresh ingredients, to buy chopped ready cooked ingredients, to read recipes before you cook, to get organized, and more. Reading through this page taught me about grill pan. Looks like I need one!
I like reading through the explanations of different pastes under the page chef Gordon called Quick-fix flavors. I love that this cookbook uses pastes from Middle Eastern, Japan, Korean, Indonesia, etc because that means that there are recipes to meet everyone’s taste. To me, I’m excited to try other countries foods! I’m not sure about trying anchovy paste though! I probably won’t use the short-cut ingredients because I like fresh foods if I can find it. From the list, I see ginger/garlic paste are among them. I guess it was fine that I used fresh garlic in the warung-style noodles. I like the advice on using unsalted butter to cook. But how can I tell my lemons is unwaxed?
Ramsay in 10 cookbook is organized in this order: Eggs & Cheese, Pasta, Rice & Noodles, Chicken & Duck, Beef, Lamb & Pork, Fish & Seafood, Vegetarian & Vegan, and Desserts which were all listed under table of contents.
I love this cookbook. There are so many dishes I want to eat! I recently watched a little bit of Ramsay’s Uncharted on Disney+ when he traveled to Laos to experience their cooking and fishing. He swears a lot but TV bleeps it out lol.

I was disappointed, still, that there were pictures, but not at each recipe, so I delayed attacking this cookbook. My first try was the easiest recipe I could find and it's quinoa!
The next recipe I tried cooking was Sweet Potato and Plantain Stew. I have never cooked anything like this or eat anything of this combination. I loved it and already wanting to cook and eat again. I loved the taste of plantain from this dish. Next time I cook, I will put more plantain for sure!
The third recipe I tried cooking was Hamburger Mac and Cheese! My 9 year old loved this dish a lot and ate more than one bowl! What surprised me with instant pot cooking this dish was that I didn't have to boil the pasta in a separate pot! The ingredients were easy to find. I bought them all at Publix.
One day I cooked the Not-Really-Panda-Express Orange Chicken and it tasted delicious. I was looking for the orange color with less soup but felt disappointed that it's not the same until I read the title of the dish again and realized that it's Not-Really, so no wonder it's not Orange color! My family loved eating this dish. My son loved it with rice so I was very happy. It was surprisingly easy to make too. I'm beginning to love my instant pot and this cookbook, despite lacking in pictures.

On 1/26/2021, I made the Asparagus lunch and it was delicious! I didn't make the sauce but it's really good on its own too. I substituted shrimp for lobster tails and made two servings. I ate the same for dinner. I can see myself eating this dish a lot in the future. It's that good! The recipe was easy to follow and quick to make, both met my busy schedule standards!
Honestly, I do get hungry after eating this meal, so I eat twice as much every time I made it and I have eaten 3-5 times already!
One day, I made Kale & Cheese Omelet for brunch and loved it. My version doesn't look exactly like the cookbook because I sliced the shallots instead of finely diced it. I also put more fresh kale because I need all the extra vitamins kale has. I also substituted cheese because I didn't have gouda cheese on hand. It's still delicious.
The breakdown of the phases and what to do daily was helpful. I like the glimpse into the author's lunch at work. I like the pages of keeping on track! Very helpful advice. As I read "How to Make a Successful Start," I see myself having to restart the whole process over again. Strict with results so I'm inclined to restart the Keto High Fiber Diet. I highly recommend everyone this cookbook to keeping yourself healthy or start changing your eating habits.

The beginning of the book was informative because the author explained what’s all in a cocktail. The taste can be described as “refreshing, creamy, fruity, sweet, sour, herbal, bitter, spicy, smoky, warm, and strong. Gin & Tonic is under Refreshing. There are pages of diagrams that list out the different drink names and what it tastes like. The drink I made Drain the Swamp was categorize as refreshing/fruity and sweet/sour.
At each recipe, there’s a little story that tells you about the drink with additional advice on what to do if you are feeling fancy and want to bring your drink to the next level. I love the basic chapter with explanations on the different tools to make the cocktails. I like how the drinks are organized by Brandy, Gin, Rum, Tequila, etc and recipes to make different drinks by each bottle. I chose Gin because I heard so much about it in my fiction reads. At first I was disappointed that the drinks were in illustrations next to the recipes but then when I made Drain the Swamp, I was amazed how accurate the illustration was to the real drink in front of me!
Shake Strain Done is a handsome looking cocktail book. Each page where each recipe rested has a name of the drink at the top, an illustration of how the drink will look like, a write up about the drink, the recipe, and how to mix them together either using a shaker or a wine glass, etc. Then there’s that category of whether it will taste refreshing, fruity, sweet, etc. I am looking forward to making more drinks. Even if I can’t drink, I will definitely be the best host!

It's a compilation of different recipes from different Black chefs across America. This book celebrates Black foods and recognizes Black cooks. I enjoyed reading the author's note and learning about Black foods. The Rise "stands on 3 pillars: authorship, memory, and aspiration." Definitely interesting to read mini biographies of different chefs and to have the chance to cook their specialties.

I have since cooked twoI was surprised to receive this cookbook back in October called This Will Make it Taste Good: A Simple Path to Simple Cooking. I have since cooked two dishes from this cookbook. I loved the Deviled Eggs more than the Eggs and Tomatoes but my husband loved the Eggs and Tomatoes more. Either way, any dish I made, it gets eaten up!
Deviled Eggs, I have since made it twice! I love the idea of putting cooked eggs in a bowl of ice water because the peeling is so much easier!
Both recipes however, has a lot going on than I managed to follow but it still tasted delicious to me. The Eggs and Tomatoes were missing what the author called Quirky Furki. Then the second recipe I missed the Red Weapon recipe. The Red Weapon is like pickled tomatoes and needed to be prepared ahead of time. I garnished with substituted pickled olives and pickled jalapeños. Some I sprinkled with paprika and garnished with slice tomatoes. I'm loving this dish!
Next was the Garlic Shrimp I tried to make next. It turned out wonderful! I was really surprised how fast this dish took to cook. Look how simple the ingredients were. I didn't even mince out my garlic. I just sliced and diced and it still tasted delicious. The recipe asked for chives but I have homegrown green onions so that worked out fine.
The last recipe I tried was Pancake-Battered Coconut Shrimp and it was again tasty. I haven't eaten shrimp this way before because of the sweetened coconut the shrimp was sweet. But it's also a little salty because the recipe asked to add some salt. It was delicious right after fried it. (Ignore the bourbon bottle in the ingredients picture. I actually substituted 2% milk for dark ale when I thought to substitute bourbon when I couldn't located at the store).
I started cooking using the recipes from Cookish on 9/26/2020 and still cooking from it today. I’m sharing my dishes on my Instagram account at I started cooking using the recipes from Cookish on 9/26/2020 and still cooking from it today. I’m sharing my dishes on my Instagram account at if you are interested to see more as well as unboxing videos and book pictures. (I need to figure out how to add pictures on here).
I’m loving this cookbook so much. Each recipe has a page of information. One paragraph about the dish, a list of ingredients, and one paragraph on how to prepare. It was so short and sweet! I love short recipes because if I’m looking for a lengthy read, I would pick up a novel!! I also love that each dish only require me to buy one or two things at the supermarket because I would already have the rest of the items at home. I am planning to make the mango fruit tart but I need to visit the grocery store for some mangoes!
I have made 3 dishes so far. My first dish was a success with my son so I made it twice in one weekend. It was called Beef, Spinach, and Feta Gozleme.
The second dish I made was called Roasted Green Beans and Shiitake Mushrooms with Pecans. I substituted the mushrooms and the nuts.
The third dish I made was called Maple and Soy-Glazed Chicken Skewers. Recipe said to use all chicken thighs boneless skinless but I had to use one pack of drumstick because that’s what I had in the freezer.
Pro: short and quick reads, easy to follow, easy to find ingredients, easy to make
