The tone in this one is quite different from the first book (The Cat Who Saved Books) but it was still an adventurous read. I admired Nanami's determination. His books are on my tbr for a long time now mainly because of the sinister covers. This book has dark magic, gore, and bigotry. It also has a bad plot. I felt lost and confused most of the time. I initially gave it a 3-star rating but now that I was able to processed my thoughts, I'm changing it to a 2-star read. I still want to give his other books a try so wish me luck.
