Without trashing modern medicine, the author is able to articulate modern medicine's two main shortfalls: first, modern medicine's targeting only the symptoms, but not going further into uncovering the causes; second, modern's medicines lack of focus in chronic diseases. ...more

It is my fault for being drawn into ANYTHING with "fuck" on the title. The book had a promising start, suggesting that social media has brainwashed us to care for shit that's not really important (something I wholeheartedly agree with). It then goes on into sharing some life episodes of the author, and portraying him now as a grown up, who had matured from his previous self (I have settled down now, I'm no longer promiscuous, etc). However, I couldn't avoid feeling a certain pride from the author regarding his previous self. It sounded fake.
Some other points of the book mentioned crap I agree with, but all could have been summed up with "shit happens". But writing a whole fucking book on 3 concepts is going to far (like the fucking Hobbit movies).
Good thing that I got the book from the library. But what the fucking fuck is wrong with the world? Why some shit like this is a best seller?...more

Many of the tips are just simple common sense (pay your credit cards in full, don't buy stuff you can't afford to by with cash, etc). Also, some of the ideas are a regurgitation of ideas of other Bach's books (for example, his adamant desire for you to buy a place, instead of renting one).
The book was published before the 2008/2009 crisis, so one of the main premises of one of the central tenets of the book (buying instead of renting) is flawed: home prices will not necessarily always go up , so leveraging up to your eye-balls in order to buy your home may not be a wise idea. ...more
