A suburban family where the kids are dealing with normal teenage problems(bullys, being uncomfortable in their bodies) and the parents are living in a dull marriage. But wait, the parents have been hiding a big secret...they're actually abstaining vampires. Throw in a long lost brother, a murder investigation, nosy neighbors and a young love story....more

I'vSinead O'Connors singing voice is like a blanket of warm honey. While listening to the audiobook, I found a comfort in her speaking voice as well. I've been a fan of her music since I was a 90s teen and was lucky enough to see her live at Lilith Fair in '98, which was amazing. I've always hated the way that the media and the entertainment industry turned their backs on her. This memoir was sad and funny and made me love her even more. This woman went through a childhood of horrific abuse and struggled with mental illness. She was a brave and misunderstood activist and loving mother. She loved to make music but could care less about fame.(You should read this if only to hear about her crazy Prince encounter, which has changed my feelings about him.)...more
