Downtown Grimstone looks like the inside of a haunted house—bedsheet ghosts float from lampposts, drifts of leaves have been allowed to pile up in the streets, and hundreds of jack-o�-lanterns flicker from every window frame and doorway along Main Street. Most of the shops have brought their wares out onto the sidewalks, so the sweet scents of caramel apples and fudge mingle with popcorn and grilled franks and the pumpkin cider pumped fresh from kegs stacked up outside the brew house.
sophie will be writing a new story from the city of grimstone every year and i am definitely interested in the world building there. some of the other town folk have already intrigued me.
“Everyone� turns out to be a motley mixture of twenty and thirty-somethings who live and work around Grimstone. Half seem to be related to each other in complex and confusing ways.
i saw the plot twist coming, but pockets of doubt are planted along with blatant hints. so it does keep you questioning what is really going on until the final action scene. the punishment scene was hot. but i’m still processing the hypnosis scene�
