I have several complaints about this book. The first one is that it had some typos. The story is very well written and since this a indie book, the auI have several complaints about this book. The story is very well written and since this a indie book, the author may not had the time nor money to hire and editor, but considering that the typos were minimum, it's not exactly a problem.
The second complaint was the the story is way too short. The author has enough material to expand this book with more character development. After all, every single character in this book was interesting.
Third complaint, there is no sequel. This story has so much potential to become a book series. Each book can be about Miles' adventures in the different worlds as a Gear Guide. This story just begs for more.
Overall rating? This story is awesome. It is a fast read, filled with adventure and it is not an overused formula. It was my first steampunk book and I really enjoyed it. James Agee Jr deserves more recognition....more

I really liked Tessa's character since I could relate to her at some point and she wasn't annoying like Clary (no offense to all of the Clary fans out there, but I can't stand her). But I couldn't find any difference between Will and Jace and I could feel a hint of Isabelle in Jessamine and since that Mrs. Clare is only writing about Shadowhunters I'm starting to doubt Clare's creativity....more
