The character of the Pathfinder is honest, simple and very solid. He is a man of great natural faith, loyal and true. This is the most touching of the three I have read so far. I was supposed to read this book in my fourth year of secondary school as a set text for my CSE exam, but didn't. How stupid. It's a marvellous story that a teenage boy would really appreciate. Well better late than never. I've finally read it and enjoyed it every bit as much as I would have then. I remember the film, but the book reaches and touches deeper than the film ever could. An excellent story....more
