Anna Dressed in Blood is one of those books that get off right at the first chapter - there's no build up, you get action right at the start, and I loved that about it. There was not really a dull moment - everything had a purpose. I loved it.
I loved the fact that, for once in the Young Adult genre, we got the point of view of a guy instead of a girl, which most of the time - I find - are written in a very damsel in distress way. Here, with Cas, we got a very different approach which was a good change. What I enjoyed about Cas was how perceptive and to the point he is. He has no time to "waste" on dating girls, and he doesn't really lead Carmel on, but he sees right away that she is the it girl of the high school he goes to while in Thunder Bay.
I think the romance part of the book was a bit far-stretched and not totally believable, but I enjoyed it none of the less. I liked that it wasn't overpowering to the plot.
I will definitely keep on reading this series of books and I hope the sequel is as creepy....more
