I loved Tristan, Delilah, and Angelique. I even loved Dot. Watching Tristan and Delilah fall in love made me swoon. It was fantastic.
I can not wait to see what happens in the next book for Angelique. She deserves some happiness :) ...more

All my girls have read them, watched the movies, and own both book and dvd LOL

It's been a while since I've read something by Maya Banks. She's still as good as I remember LOL She writes an amazing alpha hero and Wade Sterling fit that perfectly. He' over the top possessive, arrogant, a little smug, but put his woman in danger and he's ready to act. When Wade finally told Eliza how he felt, I melted. It was the sweetest, most loving thing I've read in a long while. There was no mistaking his feelings. It killed me that it took Eliza so long to believe him. Yes, she had a valid reason for not trusting herself, but he was there showing her with his actions, not just telling her with his words.
The characters were in their heads just a bit too much for my liking. I would have preferred to have the words or actions rather than just their thoughts. I loved the paranormal stuff that came into play here. Evidently, the whole series has some psychic stuff going on - I haven't read the other books, but I wasn't lost. That makes me want to go back and see what kind of powers the women of DSS have. And to see Eliza in action because obviously she's a badass ;0)

Stack and Vanity had some issues. She sort of tricked him into thinking she'd be ok with a one-time hookup when she really wanted him for real. He was a bit stubborn and nonrelenting on pure honesty, even being staunchly against lies by omission. She felt guilty about how they got together, then she did some other things and it all blew up. Stack fussed, she confessed her love, he walked out and she assumed it was over. HUGE MISCOMMUNICATION!!!!
The whole thing with Stack's ex and his brother-in-law wrapped up too neatly and quickly and I just think it was missing something. Like, I want to know what is going to happen to Whitney (the ex LOL).
Once again, the relationship between the guys was AMAZING! I love their camaraderie. The talk about their Batphones was hilarious! I'm really liking Leese, and I can not wait for Armie and Merissa, especially after....naw. You know I'm not going to spoil it.
Go get it (and the rest of the series). You'll love it! ...more

Jax Mercury is a soft hearted soldier who is leading a group of people in what is left of LA after a dangerous bacteria has killed off most of the population. If you survived, you've been altered - you're either smarter and stronger, or you become this zombie-like thing that is called a Ripper. I've come to realize there is a prequel out to this that explains about the disease. I didn't read it and I really don't feel like I missed out on anything. Things were explained well. In fact, in some places I felt it was a little repetitive because Lynne Harmony, our heroine, told her story several times to several different people.
I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series to see what happens with Raze. He was an interesting character.

It wasn't too bad, but I am not falling all over myself fangirling. There were some laugh out loud moments involving Prince Max's snarky Gypsy grandmother, Tata Natasha and Loudan was a jerk extraordinaire, much befitting his role as the villain. It kind of irritated me that neither Max nor Lady Murian were willing to admit their feelings and attempt to compromise on being together. Yes, you both have responsibilities, but they weren't even going to address trying to compromise. They would rather pout about the other walking away. At least Max finally spoke up and found a way for it to work...not that I found his way very believable (view spoiler)[ I mean, come on, he moved EVERYONE from her little village to Oxenburg? Not hardly. (hide spoiler)]
Anyhoo, it was a good read and I'll get to the rest of the books I have by her at some point in the future :)...more
