Draco emits a small sound of amusement, and Harry can’t blame him—the image of Narcissa Malfoy’s face as she patiently admires a singing, sparkling wooden snowman is an extremely entertaining one.
“She’ll be delighted, Draco opines, voice dry and eyes narrowed in concentration.

Chapter Nine (well, a part of it) of Foundations from Marley’s viewpoint. It’s always nice to see Draco and Harry from a different perspective. It’s intense, attentive, funny, and you get a deeper look into Marley’s personality. It’s a special talent of the author giving so much information and so many different kinds of feeling only on a couple of pages. It’s superb, really.
Attention is a lovely little short piece. Recommended - along with the previous two stories of the series.
Concealing himself behind a large, sweet-smelling hydrangea bush, Marley watches. He watches them, and he can’t hear what they’re saying to each other, not from this distance, but he can see the mumbling lips and he can see the way that Draco’s tension settles at the touch, and he can see the soft relief on his face at the contact and the hands forcing his to be still. Marley can see that expression, but Harry can’t, and yet he seems to know exactly what to do anyway. Good old Wonder Boy.

Goodnight, Tom. WYWH. I had to Google what the acronym was, and before I could reply, another message came through. Did you just Google that? Little smart ass. Shut up. You wouldn't have to wish I was there if you moved in with me. I sighed. Goodnight Cooper. Goodnight Tom. ILY. Just as I smiled at my phone another message came through. That means I love you.

We shall find no fiend in hell can match the fury of a disappointed woman.
A Fiend in Need is a short story of George, the Fiend, and Antonia, a werewolf. Antonia has a very handy ability: she can see into the future. Her premonitions lead her to Betsy’s (sorry Jessica’s) house, where she meets George, whose real name is Garrett, and they instantly fall in love with each other. So Antonia stays and moves in the mansion.
Very short, very quick, very rough-and-ready, but it is okay.
I’m wondering if who does the title refer to: Garrett or Antonia? Tough Garrett is marked as a ’fiend, but I think it is actually Antonia who is ‘in need: she needs friends, family, love, and acceptance. As an outsider among her own kind, now she is welcomed and taken into this extravagant company of vampires and humans.
Antonia is a great addition to Betsy’s team, and I hope I will see her again in the following books.

“I want to go to the cabin this weekend. Derek licks his lips. “Okay. Then his face twitches, like he’s trying not to smile. “You can be happy. You’re allowed. Derek blinks. “I know. “It’s like you fight against it on principle sometimes.

Adam is still having this annoyed, superior façade but he is obviously head over heels in love.
Adam might as well admit it; he was lost in the bewildering whirlpool of green hair, strong hands and a voice that was wound around his heart.
Nice character development of both of the main characters; especially Adam’s improvement is lovely. He proves to be a devoted, adoring boyfriend of Tork, who is always there for him.
Waking up at midnight with Adam in his arms was so much more real than the dark thoughts that still crept in several times every day. Colleges and bright futures were not enough to keep them at bay, but Adam was.

There is a little angst, but altogether the whole story is wrapped up too sweetly, it’s too unrealistic. Everyone comes around, everything works out perfectly. I have no idea why I’ve read this despite the fact I didn’t really like book one, The Two Gentlemen of Altona. I guess I hoped for some romance development. But sadly, it remained the same - heatless and sparkless.
The mystery though sometimes total nonsense was pretty exciting. But I’m more interested in romances than mysteries, so I don’t think this series is for me....more

Us is a sequel to one of my favorite romances, Him.
The story starts a couple of months after Him ends. Wes and Jamie live together now; Wes dream has come true: he is having a terrific rookie season at NHL, and he is also having the man’s heart he loved in his whole life. But his happiness is not spotless. Wes doesn’t believe he can have both the most important things in his life at the same time. In fear of coming out would damage his career, Wes and Jamie decide to keep their relationship hidden till the end of the season, keeping the media focused on Wes’s game not on his sex life.
It’s my biggest fear. That the success I’ve been having in my first season with Toronto will be overshadowed or worse, forgotten because being a gay professional athlete is the far juicier story.
Wes thinks it is the worst that could happen to him, until something even worse happens, and Wes realizes what is truly important.
Jamie loves Wes, but suffers from hiding. Not being out is a very stressful situation for both of them, but it makes especially Jamie lonely and isolated. Plus Wes is travelling a lot, and being apart worsens things even more. Top of it all, Wes’s teammate, Blake, moves into the same apartment building, robbing them of the privacy and safe haven they had. Blake besides being irritating is the catalyst leading to necessary changes in Wes and Jamie’s life.
Blake’s intrusion drives Jamie even deeper into his obvious depression. It is heartbreaking to see him sinking deeper and deeper into it. Depression affects not only mind but body and (view spoiler)[immune system too, so a physical disease as a result (hide spoiler)] is very realistic.
I feel like all I’ve done these past couple months is lose. Lose patience, lose the ability to talk to my boyfriend, lose that indescribable ease that always existed between me and Wes.
Problems are piling up, wrong decisions are made. I usually hate non-communication, and hated it here too, of course. But it feels real. Wes and Jamie shut each other out, and suffer alone. In fear of making things worse, they avoid confrontation. They think coming out is the only solution and as they decided against it, talking about their problems seems to no avail. And soon their relationship is so critical that (view spoiler)[coming out isn’t enough to solve the situation any more (hide spoiler)].
I don’t know how to explain what’s wrong. I’ve been really unhappy, but I don’t want him to think it’s his fault.
Jamie (view spoiler)[running away (hide spoiler)] is so real too. Of course, it’s a stupid thing to do, but I know a lot of people who do/did that. Jamie wants to leave behind all the pain, problems, hypocrisy, and lies. I think it’s a self-preservation necessity. But (view spoiler)[leaving (hide spoiler)] hurts him just as much as it hurts Wes. Feelings are not black or white, neither decisions. Jamie’s feelings are conflicted, controversial and ambiguous.
Wes has surely left for his morning skate, and I’m relieved at the timing. Then I’m guilty for feeling relieved. And angry for feeling guilty. And annoyed for feeling angry.
Us is a really well written story. Complex and real: all the struggles, the depiction of Jamie’s depression, the helplessness of Wes. Wes is struggling, not knowing what to do. He is blaming himself and feels selfish for putting Jamie in this situation. His many fears and insecurities don’t help either.
My heart is pounding in my ears. Do I yell at him now? Is that the right thing to do? I don’t know what Jamie needs. If I knew, I’d give it to him.
Us is very different from Him: Him is about the start of a relationship: it is thrilling and intense. Us is more serious: it’s about this wonderful relationship getting at stake. Him is fun and romantic, Us is heartbreaking and frustrating.
And I loved it.
Of course, there is a great amount of sweetness and steam in Us too. ;)

My torture isn’t quite done, though. I crane my neck forward, smash my face against his groin and nip his pubes. I swear he’s practically grinding his dick against my neck now, so turned on he’d fuck any surface of my body. A desperate Wes is a fun Wes. I love forcing him to let go of some of that iron-clad control. One sportswriter called him: “Impenetrable. Unshakeable. With nerves of steel. I know better.

Not My Sinner is a sequel to Sinner's Fall, the story of Mateo Oliveros and Tommy Jankowski.
Mateo and Tommy are married now, but their marriage is not as perfect as they want to believe. Something is missing and something is wrong.
“Ma, I’m happy. I have everything I could possibly need. Not everything, a tiny voice in his head whispered.
Mateo doesn’t give himself over to their marriage completely. He is holding back, and sadly not only one thing but more. He keeps secrets and hides his real self from Tommy. His reasons for that are understandable, and he is convinced that he does the right thing.
Tommy was his life. He’d do anything, whatever he had to in order to protect Tommy. That included making sure his two worlds didn’t ever collide.
Tommy feels that something is not right, but first he thinks it is only the sex. It is confirmed when they meet Mateo’s ex, Dima Zhirkov.
“You been hiding yourself from me, he said finally. Mateo froze. “What? “Your needs, you’ve been hiding them from me. I need you, Tommy whispered. He reached up and nipped Mateo’s chin. “All of you. You’re holding back.
But that’s not all. When he finds out what Mateo has been hiding from him, Tommy breaks down and leaves him.
“You don’t trust me. Tommy looked as if he’d been punched. “You don’t trust that I’m stronger than that scared, fucked-up kid you first met. You don’t trust that I can deal with the difficulties of being with you. “That’s— That was the truth, wasn’t it? Teo was scared of what might happen if Tommy had to face the tough side of who he was.
But Mateo is wrong. Tommy is strong enough to deal with Mateo’s dark side. What breaks him is Mateo’s silence and lies. He is unable to deal with that. It is a serious issue, a severe marriage crisis, still, everyone makes mistakes. Tommy has every right to be mad, but not to throw a tantrum. Teo lied to him, yes. It’s maddening, yes. Is divorce the solution? No.
Neither Teo nor Tommy are good relationship material. They have to learn how to live in a relationship, in a marriage, and how to communicate with each other.
I loved them together. Not My Sinner is an amazing addition to Sinner’s Fall, and a great insight to Mateo and Tommy’s life.
There are many-many beautiful and heartbreaking moments in this story. The hate-attack scene was devastating, it broke my heart.
The erotic scenes are loaded with emotion, and insanely hot.
My only complaint is the make-up sex. Though I loved the (view spoiler)[domineering Tommy, blood-play (hide spoiler)] is not really my thing. I can accept even appreciate it, but not when it is done by anger and hurt and revenge.

There’d been things in her life that Simone had desired more than she wanted to take Elliott’s cock in her mouth, but just then she couldn’t think of a single one.
When I thought Elliott would open up, I was mistaken. Along with Simone.
Though he tries, really tries at the beginning of this part, he is still scared of his own feelings, suffers from his past, and is incapable of communication. He denies not only himself, but Simone too.
“Everyone has a limit, Elliott. Some people just have higher limits than others.
I don’t agree with Simone’s cure for her broken heart, but of course I don’t have to, and I have to admit, it’s hot as hell.
This part of the serial is filled with tears, misery, insecurities, mistakes, and denial, but it also has lovely and beautiful moments.
“How do you stop hating? he asked quietly. “You try really, really hard. “What if you can’t? “Find something to love, Molly told him with a light squeeze of his fingers. “You won’t have time to do so much hating.
The story is perfectly executed, intense and provoking. I loved it!
Bliss. That was it, pure and simple, no way around it. No way to pretend it was anything else. It was bliss and magic and she was head over heels. No going back. It was love.
